The 2021 Etape du Tour will take place on July 4 in Nice on the original route of the 30th edition of the cyclosportive which should have taken place last July, and identical to that of the 2nd stage of the 2020 Tour de France won by Julian Alaphilippe. 175 kilometers and more than 3 m of positive elevation gain in the Nice hinterland on the program for amateurs, beyond the Colmiane passes, the Col du Turini and the Col d'Èze. TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE: MEET US IN NICE ON JULY 4
They will take Alaphilippe's wheel! After the cancellation of the 2020 vintage, it is on the route of the 2nd stage of the last Tour de France that the cyclosportives of the Etape du Tour de France will meet, with a program route of 186 kilometers (175 kilometers announced on the organization's website and the profile below) passing in particular by the Col de la Colmiane, the Col de Turini and the Col d'Èze. The choice to maintain the route of the 30th edition on its initial itinerary responds to the desire expressed jointly with the city of Nice to support the villages of the Vésubie valley, badly hit by storm Alex a few weeks ago and whose routes are at reconstruire. In addition, registrants for the 2020 edition will have priority for the 2021 event, but will be able to obtain their reimbursement if they do not wish to commit again. The official opening of registrations will take place at the beginning of the year.
