Zwift Tour: 14 Zwifters have started the journey –

Zwift, the global online training platform, today announced the return of the Tour de Zwift for 2021. The highly-acclaimed event returns with eight stages for cycling and running, starting January 4.

The Tour de Zwift is an inclusive stage event that allows Zwifters of all abilities to explore all eight worlds of Zwift, discover new routes and join a host of events. The program includes group rides, races, meetings with special guests, as well as Rookie Rides and Runs, races and bike rides specifically for beginners.

Rookie Rides and Runs are recommended for those new to Zwift. for the first time. These events will be led by some of the most experienced Zwifters. They will be there to pass on their knowledge and ensure that participants have a great time learning the ropes of a group event.

Outputs will be kept between 1,2 w/kg and 2,0 w/kg to encourage everyone to stay until the end. Designed for those who have never participated in a group event, the races will be held at an approachable pace.

Le Col, a performance clothing brand, will be the official textile partner of the Tour de Zwift. Le Col has designed the official kits for the 2021 Tour de Zwift. The limited edition cycling kit and technical race tee, identical to the jerseys used in the game, are available to purchase today on the equipment manufacturer’s website. Participants in the 2021 Tour de Zwift will receive a $65/£50 voucher to spend on lecol.cc. In addition, all stage finishers will be entered into a prize draw for a bike from route Colnago model C64, offered by Le Col.

Each stage will take place on a specific map, but it will always be possible to choose between different distances depending on the type of event selected. These events will take Zwifters past London's famous landmarks on a flat, fast course, try to spot the famous sloth on the Jungle Circuit, admire sunflowers as they cycle along the rolling hills of the RGV in France (" Route High Speed") or else at testtheir legs counting the hairpin bends that lead to the snow-covered summit of Alpe du Zwift.

With 852 km of routes to discover during the Tour de Zwift, one thing is for sure, there will be something for everyone. In 2021, the Tour de Zwift will take place between January 4 and February 20.
