Selection to join the Movistar E-Team virtual cycling team on Zwift

The year 2021 begins under the colors of Zwift with the Movistar Team Challenge to integrate the first eSport team of a WorldTour team.

Le Team Movistar presented a major new feature for 2021: the Movistar Team Challenge, a series of events and competitions in collaboration with Zwift et Global Cycling Network, to be able to integrate the training of the Movistar E-Team, 10 athletes from all over the world who will race on Zwift wearing the Movistar jersey.

Direto XR for the first WorldTour eSport team

These books are the first eSport team of a World Tour team. Elite Cycling provides the team's technical equipment by offering athletes a Elite cellar bread which includes the home trainer Direto XR trainer and steering plate electronic Sterzo Smart. The team's riders will use the trainer during training and in competitions on the Zwift Racing League calendar.
The Movistar Team Challenge

Of the 300 participants, 5 women and 5 men will be selected who, at the end of the selections, will wear the Spanish team jersey during the events of the Zwift Racing LeagueThe first selection event took place on February 3rd, when all the races will bring to 40 the number of athletes who will compete in the final series challenge from March 1st.

The 10 athletes selected will sign a collaboration contract with the Movistar E-Team which will give access to many benefits reserved for the non-virtual team, including the home trainer Direct XR, Canyon bike official Movistar Team, the possibility of participating in the training camp and many others.
