CFR means the best of the best, in terms of performance and design. Drawing on cutting-edge materials and years of feedback from the world's best engineers and athletes, the Speedmax CFR TT Disc sets the standard for a machine with no competition.
This bike is equipped with top-quality components at every level. Canyon chose high-end Zipp carbon wheels, including a Super 9 Disc at the rear and an 808 Firecrest at the front. The bike is built with the SRAM Red eTap AXS groupset, including Vuka Shift aerobars and an integrated GPS mount. Finally, Canyon completed the montage with a range of quality details including Ergon armrests, a Selle Italia Watt saddle and Ceramic Speed bearings.
But the highlight of the Speedmax CFR TT Disc is its frame which is the result of intensive development by Canyon engineers. The light weight of the frame (1030 g* in size M) and the fork (500 g*) offer an incredible stiffness/weight ratio. In addition, the aerodynamic optimization allows for a saving of 2,7 watts compared to the previous model, despite its switch to disc brakes.
The new armrests are adjustable using spacers but are now standard mounted closer together to meet today's demands for timing adjustments. There are also two differences to note compared to the triathlon version of the Speedmax. First, the Speedmax TT does not have the storage space that top triathletes like Jan Frodeno and Patrick Lange need during grueling races. Second, the frame stands out by featuring new tube shapes that comply with UCI rules. In short, this bike is designed with one goal in mind: to offer all the qualities required to win a time trial. Nothing more, and above all, nothing less.
