For Lapierre, winning the best races on the WorldTour circuit has always been the goal since the beginning of competition with the Groupama-FDJ cycling team. For 20 years, Lapierre has aimed to meet the needs of the team and provide all the riders with the best bikes in the peloton. This joint collaboration between the Lapierre research and development center and the performance center of the Groupama-FDJ cycling team has once again resulted in the launch of the latest high-performance bike with the new Xelius SL.

Iconic model of the range route Lapierre since the launch of the first Xelius in 2010, and after having won numerous successes in the biggest events since the last evolution in 2018 (stages of the Tour de France, the Giro, the Vuelta, the Tour of Lombardy and the French championships) the time has come for Lapierre to present, under the new Team Groupama-FDJ 2022 colorway, the third evolution of the Xelius SL.
This new version of the Xelius SL will be equipped at the Tour de France with a new ultra-light carbon handlebar/stem combo, and will accompany the best climbers and the rouleurs/punchers of the Groupama-FDJ cycling team on the next passes of the Tour de France and on all the stages where lightness, versatility, speed uphill and downhill, and responsiveness are key criteria.
A sleeker design with tauter lines and full integration of the sheaths and hoses to reduce the aerodynamic impact of the frame and gain speed on descents and a more aggressive geometry will allow the new Xelius SL to perform at the highest world level.
