ATTACK ON SEMNOZ!
THE SEMNOZ CLIMB | 24KM & 1m D+
From 8:30 am, more than sixty participants set off on the Semnoz Climb. With 24 km of non-stop climbing from the city centre of Saint-Jorioz and more than 1 m of D+ to swallow, the Semnoz Climb gives some indications on the fitness of the participants. After a first hill to leave the city and reach the last kilometres of the Col de Leschaux, head towards the Semnoz, its 200 km of climbing at an average of 13,9% and its large hairpins. If the first kilometres are in the heart of the forest and rocks, the route winds its way through the last few kilometres in the middle of the mountain pastures. The exit from the forest is often accompanied by a strong breeze that draws the last of the participants' strength. Once on the long final ramp, when your thighs are burning and your heart is racing, you have no choice but to give it your all and keep going to cross the finish line in the best possible time. This legendary climb, as tough as it is beautiful, offers runners a breathtaking panorama at the summit with a 360° view of Lake Annecy, the Bauges Massif, the Alps and Mont Blanc. It was under sunny weather and with a sea of resistant clouds that the participants crossed the finish line at an altitude of 1m and were able to recover while enjoying this clear view of the peaks. Let’s congratulate Arthur BLANC who completed the Semnoz Climb with a record time of 665m55s as well as Stéphanie DUC who is the first woman to complete the course in 08h1m15s.

THE BAUGES, FRONT SIDE!
GRAVEL COURSE | 68KM & 1m D+
With a playground as vast as the Massif des Bauges, it was only natural to highlight its other side, even more natural and unusual! Inaugurated in 2021, the Gravel course was redesigned this year to be even more fun, accessible and playful. With 68km and 1m of D+ to swallow, the Gravel course of the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy took the 630 participants to the heart of the Massif on the small routes and trails of the Bauges. After discovering the reed beds of Saint Jorioz, the participants headed towards the mountain pastures of the Col de Chérel at an altitude of over 1m, wedged between Trélod and Arcalod. After a technical descent towards La Compôte, gravel enthusiasts alternated between small routes and hilly trails to reach the finish line. This gravel course, which counts as the penultimate round of the Cannondale Gravel'Tour, saw the victory for the men of Kevin BOSCARDIN in 2h51m27s and of Ellen MARTIN in 3h48m02s for the women.
