An exceptional weekend at AlpinBike

After a Saturday between the Semnoz climb and the Gravel course, this Sunday was dedicated to the 3 cycle courses allowing you to enjoy the charms of Lake Annecy and the welcoming warmth of the Bauges Massif. This year again, the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy was the end-of-summer cyclo not to be missed and the 970 participants at the start were not mistaken!

Participating in the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy means having the chance to experience one of the most beautiful cyclo starts in France and to start the stopwatch just a few meters from Lake Annecy. On Sunday morning, as the sun rose over the Tournette massif and the first water sports enthusiasts enjoyed the calm, turquoise waters of Lake Annecy, an electric atmosphere reigned on the Esplanade de l'Espérance in Saint-Jorioz. With 970 cyclists registered for Sunday's courses, the starting line was teeming with people. Between excitement at the effort that awaited them and admiration for the beauty of the landscapes, everyone will remember this sunny lakeside start!

3 courses to choose from!

With departures spread out between 9am and 9:30am, participants had the choice of leaving on one of the three routes proposed by the organization. Whether on the Tour du Châtelard (55 KM / D+1m), the Bauges route (150 KM / D+110m) or the Semnoz route (2 KM / D+050m), cyclists were able to discover the charm of the Bauges and the tranquility of these beautiful routes of mytagne ! In time trial mode to soak up the competitive spirit, or in hiking mode to enjoy the course and appreciate the landscape, all cyclists were welcome on the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy!

Heading to the heart of the Bauges Massif!

The 415 participants of the Semnoz course (130 km | D+ 2m) were able to enjoy an exceptional panorama on the first part of the course when they reached the summit of Semnoz. After climbing to the Crêt de Chatillon, they went back down into the valley on the Pont de l'Abîme and met up with the 850 participants of the Parcours des Bauges (380 km | D+ 110m) and stayed with them until the finish. Together, they were able to discover the routes hilly areas of the Bauges Massif, heading towards the Col
from Plainpalais, Aillon-le Jeune, Châtelard and even Motte en Bauges.

At Châtelard they were able totager the route with the hikers of the Tour du Châtelard (55 km / D+1m) who benefited from a more accessible and less demanding route. Between the Alpine peaks, local producers, pastures and mountain pastures, these three routes of the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy had a strong territorial identity and allowed participants to discover the Bauges in all their splendor.

A record edition

With 1 registered participants over the entire weekend, this new edition of the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy broke all records! Between the Semnoz climb reserved for lovers of steep climbs, the Gravel course counting as a round of the Gravel'Tour Cannondale and the different cyclo courses registered for the Cyclo'Tour Rotor challenge, there was something for everyone on the AlpinBike Lac d'Annecy.
