By developing an electric bike, Origine wanted to keep its DNA and the assistance must be the final touch, the bonus that makes cycling easier. This assistance comes to give the boost you need to overcome a difficulty, stay in the wheels, or simply do your entire outing helped by the electric fairy. The Help in its most radical version is designed to withstand the worst conditions of a real Gravel outing, between roots, mud, stones and beautiful routes white.
Origine has therefore developed an electrically assisted sports bike, a bike which without assistance is already a high-performance bike with a motor whose weight is forgotten and whose rolling resistance is non-existent. Because an electric bike remains above all a bike, because a bike is handled, carried, climbed passes, and ridden with and sometimes without assistance, the brand has developed a bike whose weight would not be a handicap, whose performance would not be just that of a frame on which it has fitted a motor and whose reliability is that of a bike like those it usually builds.

A Mahle engine
Since the beginning of the project, Origine has worked hand in hand with the engine manufacturer. This synergy translates into an engine specific to the Help and the program that the brand wanted to give it. Mahle was able to meet these requirements. The German brand's system is the lightest at 3,2 kg for the motor/battery/connectors assembly. To further lighten the final result and keep the dynamic qualities of a muscular bike, the battery is housed inside the diagonal tube for a total weight of 12 kilos. Ideal for performance use, but also for being transported, lifted or stored. The bike thus remains dynamic and well balanced, and can be ridden like a normal bike.
The motor in the hub allows the use of a transmission identical to that of a muscle bike, and does not require a specific chainring, no heavy transmission, everything is standard. In addition to its practical aspect, the Mahle X20 system, in addition to being a fully machined piece of goldsmithing, is a technological gem. The hub and the crankset are equipped with speed, torque and cadence sensors, the collection of which allows the assistance to be adapted so that it is as natural as possible. When the assistance is activated, route the transition is smooth and without jolts, and beyond 25km/h there is no brake on progress, allowing you to reach the speeds of a bike route traditional without excessive energy expenditure.
With its ANT+ connectivity, the system can link directly to your GPS via the My SmartBike app and adapt the assistance according to the difficulty of the terrain, your heart rate, the power you develop. The torque is 55Nm, the battery accepts a range extender bringing the total capacity of 435WH, available from October, for an 80% charge in less than 2 hours. The AMC (Automatic Motor Connection) connection allows the motor hub to be connected very easily and fixed with a classic through axle.
As with the rest of the Origin range, the Help is 100% configurable. That is to say that you will be able to choose your components from a drastic selection. You will also be able to choose the color that you want, as on all the bikes in the Origine range.
