IRONMAN Hawaii 2022: Frenchman Sam Laidlow 2nd behind Gustav Iden, Kristian Blummenfelt 3rd, Léon Chevalier 7th, Clément Mignon 9th

In Kona, on the legendary Ironman Hawaii, world championship circuit ground, The French put on a show. Sam Laidlow, leading the running race after signing the best cycling time in the history of the race, covering the 180 km in 4h04'36, takes a magnificent 2nd place (7h42'24), best performance in history for a Frenchman, rear Norwegian Gustav Iden, who set two records for his part: the event in 7h40'24 and the marathon in 2h36'15. His compatriot Kristian Blummenfelt (7h43'23) takes third place on the podium.

The tricolor show does not stop there since two other Blues are ranked among the top 10: Léon Chevalier is 7th in 7h55'52 et Clément Mignon 9th in 7h56'58. A little further on, we find a 4th Frenchman in the top 15 with Denis Chevrot, 14th in 8h03'24.
