Aesthetic minimalism, high performance, and an extra size dedicated to women cyclists are on the program of the new Necer99 from CBT Italia.
CBT Italia announces the marketing of the updated version of its Necer99, the racing bike that is set to become the new flagship of the Cuneo-based company in 2023. Designed exclusively for disc brakes and featuring fully integrated cables, with no visible wires, the Necer99 is the result of work that focuses on silent performance. The frame is a T700 UD-HM carbon monocoque, with graphene and Kevlar reinforcements in the most stressed areas.. It has an aerodynamic profile. Among the solutions provided we highlight the verticalized stays and the design of the box, lowered, with rear bases of only 395 mm long.
The horizontal, diagonal and vertical tube sections, designed to reduce vibrations and torsional effect, have a flat profile. The fork is also new, with a slightly curved line. CBT Italia has also redesigned the handlebar and stem: the kit, branded NIX (a brand owned by the Cuneo company) guarantees a smooth ride.tage optimal routing of cables from the front controls to the bike components. The final weight of the frame is just over a kilo.
Technical choices
Specially designed curved fork legs provide stability, comfort, handling and dampen vibrations. Performance during the push, recovery and braking phases is significantly improved. The bottom bracket height has also been revised and lowered by between 5 and 8 mm depending on the size, in order to increase stability, especially on steep and winding descents. The superposition of several layers and the positioning of the carbon fibers at the most important torsion and flexion zones guarantee the rigidity of the frame, even when subjected to stresses related to ground vibrations, giving the rider excellent control and great maneuverability, whatever the circumstances.
The thicknesses of the tubes have been widened at the intersections and on the perforated surfaces for the passage of cables. The frame has been subjected to stress tests in the laboratory. Result: performance and pleasure will be there with Necer99.
Noiseless performance
In addition to offering a clean and elegant design in the purest tradition of Made in Italy:, the internal positioning of the cables and the design of the frame guarantee the virtual absence of vibrations and noise. The finish is characterized by a tricolor design, with a fixed silver base and white, red, black or blue inserts that reflect CBT Italia's DNA in cycling racing. The only exception is a classic model in a black version with white graphics. The lines of the frame, clean and aerodynamic, have been testtested in the wind tunnel.
A bike for everyone
Another new feature is the introduction of size 45 into the range, the geometry of which is intended for female cyclists. The available sizes will therefore increase from 5 to 6. Performance-oriented research makes the Necer99 a bike that is suitable for both amateur cyclists and competitive athletes. The UCI-certified frame equips several Italian men's and women's teams, but does not neglect the comfort and handling intended for enthusiasts who do not have any particular ambitions.

In addition to the entire bike, The Necer99 is available as a frameset with fork, headset and spacers. (optional handlebar kit). The entire bike is offered in 5 different assemblies: with Shimano Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 12-speed and Ultegra and 105 11-speed groupsets.
