The Continental Grand Prix 5000 TT TR tire joins the Grand Prix 5000 TR range and aims for the highest possible speed

Continental announces the addition of the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR to the Grand Prix 5000 Tubeless tire range. Previously released as a limited edition 25mm tire to celebrate the 2022 Tour de France, the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR will now be available in 28mm.

The ultimate speed-focused tubeless bicycle tire, the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR offers racing cyclists the lowest possible weight and rolling resistance coefficient thanks to an optimized tread thickness and construction to reduce material deformation at the contact point between the route and the tire. The Grand Prix 5000 TT TR features extensively researched puncture protection and tear resistance.

Developed in an ongoing partnership with the world's fastest professional cyclists and validated by Dan Bigham and Fillipo Ganna during their 2022 hour records, the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR is 35g lighter over 25mm than Continental's equivalently sized Grand Prix 5000 S TR. As with all Continental Grand Prix 5000 25 tyres, the new Grand Prix 5000 TT TR tyre is compatible with hookless rims up to 21mm wide and is fully Tubeless Ready., giving riders the freedom to choose their preferred tire setup. At 28mm, the tire is compatible with hookless rims up to 25mm, weighing in at 235g. A pair of 25mm for the front tire and 28mm for the rear tire provides the lowest overall rolling resistance and best racing performance.

Available exclusively in blackwall, the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR uses the BlackChili compound for the best possible balance between rolling resistance and grip.

In addition, Vectran Breaker liquid crystal polymers are used for puncture protection and five times the tear resistance of comparable nylon protection. The Lazer Grip stretch profile structure allows for greater cornering angles and Active Comfort technology provides excellent vibration absorption.
