The Ciklet company was created in 2022 by two triathlon and cycling enthusiasts. Othmane and Christian, the creators, met 10 years ago within the EPPG triathlon club (Le Pré-Saint-Gervais). They joined forces to simplify the experience of buying and reselling used bikes.

Why this name Ciklet?
First for bicycle, for the “Cikle” of bicycle life, for the French touch. Like the spelling of the word Ciklet, we want to break the codes of the bicycle and simplify the second-hand bicycle…

What motivated the creation of the Ciklet company?
First of all, the passion for cycling! Christian and I are two cyclists who love beautiful bikes. Having been cyclists for over 15 years, we have faced purchasing problems in the second-hand market. The quality of the products, doubts when buying or selling, random prices and product availability. The second-hand market is very random and unstructured.

Why did you choose the bicycle niche? reconhigh-end editions?
First for our know-how and then for the economic model. Can you give us your market figures and forecasts?
The sports bike market represents €750 million in France in 2022, the second-hand market represents 23% of the market. What is the profile of the professional mechanics who work at Ciklet?
Alexandre, 10 years in bicycle mechanics and who has worked for several entities: Decathlon, Alltricks. Bob, 3 years of experience, with a strong specialty in bicycles route and our super bike geek. Benjamin, our engineer and PhD student reconverti in bicycle mechanics. Apprenticing with the team and bringing innovative solutions and a different perspective on mechanics.

We have a strong positioning on the bicycle route. Our activity requires a strong mobilization of cash, at this stage, we cannot be present in all segments. We have made a choice linked to the market and which also corresponds to our know-how. Today we are the French leader in bicycles route second hand reconconditioned with the largest selection and choice. With 65 bikes, we can offer bikes in all sizes and in all technical components. What is the difference between a used bike purchased on Ciklet and a new bike of equivalent range?

How does Ciklet guarantee the quality of its used bikes? reconedited?

How does the delivery of bikes purchased on Ciklet work? Is there an option to collect them directly from the workshop?
The bikes are prepared and packed in recycled cardboard boxes and then sent by express 24-hour delivery so that the bikes do not remain in warehouses and reduce handling risks. There is also the possibility of picking up the bike in our workshops in Paris 20th.

What services are offered before purchasing a bike from Ciklet?

We plan to expand the range of bikes to mountain bikes and offer a complete gravel offer. For e-bikes we will be on sports bikes, but that will come at a later date.
