KASK Elemento, the new model that tops the range

KASK innovates in the design of cycling helmets by presenting the Elemento, a no-compromise helmet with a unique design and a multitude of innovative technologies that guarantee aerodynamics, ventilation and safety at the highest level. The Elemento is aimed at professional and semi-professional athletes as much on route than in mountain biking, cyclo-cross and gravel, and in general to all cyclists looking for performance.

Always active in the research and development of products in close contact with its teams and athletes, KASK worked with the INEOS Grenadiers team on the Elemento project from its inception.

The result is a helmet with an innovative design, which sets a new standard for the world of cycling.

The genesis of Elemento began in 2020 with the analysis of a series of scientific publications that studied the variation in athletes' performance when their body temperature changed.

The conclusion of these studies is that, in terms of performance, An athlete's thermal comfort is as important as the aerodynamics and weight of the helmet.

Based on these studies, the Elemento has been designed to be a very aerodynamic and at the same time highly ventilated helmet, thanks to its design and the introduction of some technological innovations, such as Fluid Carbon 12 and Multipod.

Fluid Carbon 12 and Multipod

Fluid Carbon 12 is a composite technopolymer capable of absorbing more energy on impact than traditional materials and distributing the force generated more evenly throughout the helmet. This property allowed KASK engineers to:increase the size of the internal channels, for greater ventilation, and at the same time reduce the size of the ventilation holes, to improve aerodynamics.

Multipod is a structure designed by KASK, 3D printed and used as the internal liner of the Elemento. This elastomer material was born thanks to studies on the KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test, the protocol of tests created by KASK which allowed toimprove the behavior of helmets in the face of different types of impacts and provided useful information to develop an even higher level of safety. Indeed, Multipod allows better management of the energy resulting from linear and rotational impacts and has an isotropic behavior, that is, it behaves in the same way regardless of the direction in which the force is applied.

So the Elemento got five stars during the test Virginia Tech Reference, which measures helmet performance in linear and rotational impacts. Finally, the special design of the Multipod structure has also significantly improved the Elemento's ventilation, increasing its thermal regulation capabilities.

Other technical characteristics

Other features of the Elemento include OCTOFIT+, the new helmet adjustment system that ensures greater comfort and stability, and the “Pro” chin strap, the same extremely lightweight chinstrap used by the INEOS Grenadiers team.

The Elemento also features a reflective insert on the rear for increased rider visibility and two types of internal lining: in addition to the already mentioned Multipod, There is a merino wool lining, to guarantee unprecedented comfort and thermoregulation.

The colors of the Elemento

The Elemento is available in the classic Black and White colours, as well as the new metallic finish colours: Beetle Green, Oxford Blue, Red and Silver.

The Elemento, like the other products in the KASK family, was developed in accordance with KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test, the internal protocol adopted by KASK which measures the performance of its helmets in the event of rotational impacts.

The Elemento weighs just 260 grams (size M) and is available at a recommended retail price of €375.
