New CeramicSpeed OSPW RS derailleur hanger

Since its introduction in 2015, the CeramicSpeed Oversized Pulley Wheel (OSPW) system has firmly established itself as an iconic product in the world of modern cycling. Hailed for its technical efficiency and distinctive appearance, the OSPW pushes the boundaries of drivetrain performance. However, the familiar visibility of the OSPW system is about to change. With the introduction of the new OSPW RS model for Shimano and SRAM groupsets Route, CeramicSpeed propels the OSPW into the future with a distinctly modern, angular design.

This new design brings balance and refinement to the OSPW system, allowing it to blend harmoniously into contemporary bike and groupset design trends.

With an added level of customization (multiple logo and pebble options) combined with innovative new technology features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demands for personal expression and driving experience. premium liquors.

First introduced under the Further Drive technology banner with the OSPW X cage for the SRAM Eagle drivetrain, the OSPW RS's new technology features: ADR (Active Debris Remover) and ALPHA Disc aim to take the experience and performance to the next level.

Active Debris Remover (ADR)

Anti-Debris Retention

ADR is a patented technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for debris to enter the bearing. It consists of a new design dust cover securely anchored in a groove in the roller wheel, thus completely enveloping the rolling. This is combined with a blade groove structure surrounding the dust cover, dynamically extracting debris from the roller wheel as it rotates. ADR was developed through a constant alliance between CeramicSpeed's R&D department, testing laboratory and tests on the ground carried out by a professional off-road team.

ALPHA Disc

For the new OSPW RS cage, CeramicSpeed offers versions equipped with the ultra-strong ALPHA Disc derailleur pulley, initially introduced with the OSPW X for the Eagle drivetrain.

The ALPHA Disc features a two-piece construction. A separate narrow and wide tooth profile, made from a composite material offering a prolonged protection against wear and a reduction noise. In addition, a solid aluminum disc eliminates the possibility of external objects get stuck between the spokes of the derailleur pulley, while adding strength and rigidity to the design of the derailleur pulley.

The first ones tests of this massive disc derailleur pulley design took place in the field at the Cyclo-Cross World Cups a few years ago. During the 2022 Cyclo-Cross season, the sponsored Tormans team used the massive disc design extensively and provided valuable feedback on its ability to provide optimum mud clearance in the worst conditions.

New design: Improved quality & resistance

The new OSPW RS design isn’t just a visual update. The cage itself has been reinforced to provide new levels of strength and durability.
