Cervélo launches the new Caledonia-5

Beyond the endurance-oriented sports of triathlon and professional cycling, there are hundreds of other athletes who push their bodies and equipment to their limits every day. Ultra-distance, yes, but ultra-fast. Cervélo calls it “Big Stupid Rides,” the kind of triple-digit ride idea that makes you think you were stupid to get caught up in it at the time, but when it’s over, makes you want to do it again. The Caledonia-5 is designed for high-speed, long-distance rides or races, with geometry that’s geared toward comfort while maintaining the feel and performance of a true Cervélo.

Aero Dynamics
All Cervélos are aerodynamic bikes. And when you're on your third day of riding, you'll appreciate that extra boost. Fully internal cable routing and the frame's aerodynamic shapes combine to help you combat the cyclist's biggest enemy: the wind!

Internal storage
New this year on the Caledonia-5, the storage in the frame is designed to accommodate an inner tube, a small multi-tool and a CO2 “cartridge”. The hatch is easily removable, even with gloves – just flip the locking lever and pull.

Refine and improve
The Caledonia-5 is designed for all-day rides, group rides, high-paced rides, and rides where the tarmac is far from ideal. The brand has kept all the good things from the previous Caledonia-5 and improved the little details, like this new upper headset “cache”, designed to allow you to modify your adjustment without having to disassemble everything.

Hammerhead fitted as standard
On the version equipped with the Sram Red group, the Hammerhead GPS is fitted as standard to offer you a complete user experience, right out of the store!

Reserve 42|49
The Caledonia-5 Sram Red, Sram Force, Shimano Dura-Ace and Shimano Ultegra Di2 are all equipped with the brand new Reserve 42|49 wheels. Developed using Turbulent Aero technology, they are designed for all types of rides, able to adapt to all types of terrain while maintaining aerodynamic qualities. Exactly the Caledonia-5’s program!
