D-4 before the cauldron that lit up our eyes this summer is rekindled… But one question remains: can we ever again experience something as magical as what we have just experienced? August 28 will mark the start of the Paris Paralympic Games, an event that not only extends the Olympic spirit of Paris 2024, but transcends it. These Games are a celebration of human strength at its most inspiring, a reminder that sport knows no limits, and that will and courage can push back all boundaries.

We have just experienced a unique summer, and all sports fans will agree that Paris 2024 will remain etched in our memories.. So how do we do even better? Why follow the Paralympics? Can we love them as much as we just experienced with able-bodied athletes? Can emotions reach the same heights?
To appreciate the Paralympic Games is to delve into the very heart of what makes sport great: the challenge of self-improvement, the resilience in the face of adversity, and the unwavering determination of those who refuse to be defined by obstacles.. Every Paralympic athlete is the hero of a story of perseverance, where every movement, every performance, is the result of a fierce struggle against physical limitations and prejudices. These Games are not simply a competition; they are a true life lesson, a tribute to the human capacity to transform challenges into triumphs.
This year, our eyes will turn with particular emotion towards two exceptional athletes: Kevin LeCunff et Michael Herter. A few years ago we had the privilege oftagto ride with them for a few spins, to listen to their stories of challenge and resilience, and to feel the fire within them, the passion that transcends boundaries. Kevin, a former professional runner who has become a symbol of Paralympic success, and Michael, whose determination lights up every track he runs, are more than just medal contenders. They are living proof that the human spirit, when fueled by will and courage, knows no boundaries.

Their story is that of two men who refused to let their circumstances dictate their destinies.. As we rode alongside them, we witnessed a determination that goes far beyond athletic performance. We saw men who, in the face of adversity, choose every day to push their own limits, to prove to the world that true courage is found in the heart, not the body.

As spectators, we have a role to play: to welcome these Paralympic Games with the same fervour, the same admiration as for the Olympic Games.. These athletes do not ask for our sympathy, but for our respect. By following their performances, by encouraging them, we pay tribute not only to their hard work, but also to the purity of human effort, to that beauty that lies in the struggle for every victory, for every advance, for every dream realized.
These Games are a unique opportunity to experience sport in its purest and most powerful form.. Don't miss the highlights of this human adventure: on Sunday, September 1, follow Michael Herter in the triathlon, and on Wednesday, September 4 and Friday, September 6, witness Kevin Le Cunff's performances in the time trial and road race (the athlete will also participate in the individual pursuit on the Vélodrome de Saint-Quentin on August 31, and in the team sprint on September 1). We invite you to let yourself be carried away by these life stories, to feel the emotion of each victory, and to celebrate with us these champions who, through their courage and tenacity, remind us that humanity is capable of the best. May these Games be for all of us a source of inspiration and a vibrant tribute to the greatness of the human spirit.
