The dVélos Lac d'Annecy, the flagship cyclosportive of the end of summer, took place this weekend of August 24 and 25 in St Jorioz. A hot and summery day this Saturday but a more cloudy and autumnal weather on Sunday, leaving the peaks of the Massif des Bauges well hidden. An unmissable event on the calendar, the thousand participants of the dVélos Lac d'Annecy responded well by lining up for the different events offered on Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend began this Saturday morning with the Grimpée du Semnoz, a must-see event to gauge an intense effort before the next day's cyclosportive. With 24km of climbing and 1m of positive elevation gain to swallow, the Grimpée du Semnoz is a steep climb not to be taken lightly. Departures every 200 seconds in the town centre of St Jorioz and immediately the first elevation changes, quite gentle in the Pays du Laudon and much steeper at the end from the Col de Leschaux. The reward for all these efforts, a wonderful panorama at the top of the Crêt de Chatillon. Aravis range, Bauges range, Chartreuse, Mont Blanc range, a 20 degree view appreciated by the cyclists after having given their best and having surpassed themselves on this legendary segment. Congratulations to the Belgian Vince MATTENS who was the fastest to reach the summit with an honorable time of 360m57s. GRAVEL COURSE

Discover the hidden side of the Massif des Bauges and go from the shores of the lake to the heart of the Bauges by paths and small routes, here is the promise of the Gravel event. With more than 120 participants, the Gravel event brought together enthusiasts of the discipline on two courses, in hiking or time trial mode, this Saturday morning. The choice was between an accessible 35km route towards the Sources of Lake Annecy or a more challenging 75km route towards the Heart of the Bauges. Wedged between Arcalod and Trélod, two giants of the Bauges, the Col de Chérel revealed its beauty to the participants and revealed the minerality of the mountains.tagnes that surround it. After a technical descent towards Jarsy and La Compote, the participants crossed meadows and forests towards Le Chatelard and the turquoise blue of the ponds of the Iles du Chéran before returning by the route, between the forest plots of La Motte en Bauges to the Col de Leschaux, to cross the finish line. Congratulations to the Spaniard Josep TERMENS, who crossed the finish line in first place after 2h35m of effort, as well as to Marie Louise BIARD in the women's race, who won in 3h09.
CYCLOSPORTIVE | HIKING & CHRONO

With departures spread out between 9am and 9:30am this Sunday morning, participants had the choice of leaving on one of the three routes proposed by the organization. Whether on the Tour du Châtelard (55KM / D+1m), the Parcours des Bauges (150KM / D+110m) or the Parcours du Semnoz (2KM / D+050m), cyclists were able to discover the charm of the Bauges and the tranquility of these beautiful routes of mytagne ! In time trial mode to soak up the competitive spirit, or in hiking mode to enjoy the course and appreciate the scenery, all cyclists were welcome on the dVélos Lac d'Annecy!
HEADING FOR THE HEART OF THE BAUGES MASSIF!
The 400 participants of the Semnoz Trail (130km | D+ 2m) started their day by climbing the Crêt de Chatillon, the famous Semnoz. Once back down into the valley towards the Pont de Banges, they met up with the 850 participants of the Bauges Trail (350km | D+ 110m) and stayed with them until the finish. Together, they were able to discover the routes hilly areas of the Bauges Massif by heading towards the Col de Plainpalais, Aillon-le Jeune, Châtelard or even La Motte en Bauges. At Châtelard they were able totager the route with the hikers of the Tour du Châtelard (55KM / D+1m) who took advantage of a more accessible and less demanding route. Between the Alpine peaks, local producers, pastures and mountain pastures, these three routes of the dVélos Lac d'Annecy had a strong territorial identity and allowed participants to discover the Bauges in all their splendor. The gloomy weather did not dampen the participants' joy of being on their bikes and living their passion to the full.
