As she announced on June 21 during the French Cycling Championships on route, The French Cycling Federation has created a new division called “Continental Federal Men”, which will be launched in the 2025 season.
This new "continental" division, whose existence will necessarily be detrimental to teams belonging to the "professional continental" division, was created despite the opposition of the National Cycling League.
In fact, the management of French professional cycling (including teams with the “Continental” label) falls under the prerogatives of the National Cycling League and not those of the French Cycling Federation.
This is why, in order to protect its interests, as well as those of the teams, organizers and professional riders, The National Cycling League has decided to refer the matter to the Council of State.
