There are two ways to develop a new product. One is to simply update an existing product. The other is to combine experience and audacity to create something entirely new, a product that aims to tester new avenues towards an innovative path in terms of components and solutions.

With the Revolution, its brand new shoe model route, Northwave chose the second option.

Northwave has incorporated materials, solutions and technologies into the Revolution that draw on decades of experience at the pinnacle of competitive cycling, working with some of the greatest champions and an ever-growing number of cycling enthusiasts. The result is a shoe with a " ProFit", with remarkable aesthetics and technical solutions inspired by the needs of professionals, but without the extreme stiffness and price of a World Tour level shoe.

The Revolution is a brand new shoe designed to cyclists on route demanding and ambitious, those who know what details can make a real difference in terms of performance, but for whom comfort and durability never take second place. The Revolution is designed to perfectly support each pedal stroke, whether it's for a sprint after a KOM or during the longest rides.

The Revolution incorporates innovative elements — first and foremost its new Morph Carbon sole — with Northwave features like the SLW3 dual rotor with micrometric adjustment and le systems patented Powershape for optimal arch support.

Rigidity and comfort for the Morph Carbon sole

Morph Carbon is the essence of the Northwave revolution, the solid foundation of this shoe's innovative solutions. It is a composite carbon sole with a stiffness index of 13 out of 15, developed to find the ideal balance between comfort and performance, thanks to the surprising mix of lightweight materials closest rigid et sustainable which make it very efficient. The rigidity of the injected carbon fiber outsole ensures optimal power transmission at each pedaling phase, and its geometry perfectly echoes the anatomical shape of the foot.

Thanks to the design Powershape, the sole follows the anatomical shape of the arch of the foot to provide support and comfort: with the Morph Carbon sole, rigidity and comfort pedal together. The two air vents in the sole optimize the flow of air in and out, ensuring both ventilation and breathability, helping feet stay cool.

With the Morph Carbon sole, the possibilities for adjusting the cleats – essential for correct positioning and optimal power transmission – are even greater than before. The Speedplay/Wahoo compatibility is provided by the dedicated Northwave adapter.

Replaceable rubber heel pads further extend the life of the product.

A lightweight upper with incomparable style

THEupper Northwave Revolution is made of synthetic leather PU with breathable mesh and laser perforations. Textile eyelets contribute to a wraparound fit and the ventilated tongue is made of Airnet mesh, offering an even more comfortable and lightweight fit, without pressure points.

In addition to contributing to an overall feeling of comfort and lightness, the upper's outer materials are specially designed to be easy to clean and wash, even in cold weather.

The heel lining features silicone injections prevents the foot from lifting while pedaling, always keeping it in the correct position. The X-Dial SLW3 dual rotor system – the one used in high-end World Tour shoes – offers a high-precision dual-zone closure, fully customizable and adjustable even while riding with micrometric adjustment.

Prices, sizes and colors

The Revolution is available in four color versions : black, white, light grey/sage and a bolder version with neon red inserts.

Since feet vary not only in length but also in shape, the Revolution is also available in a Wide Fit version. To accommodate those who require greater volume in the fit, without sacrificing performance, the toe, metatarsal and instep widths have been completely revised and reshaped.
