From close collaboration with women's teams and thanks to feedback from the best cyclists on route and MTB, the EVA saddle line was born, designed to meet the specific anatomical needs of all women, from World Tour champions who aim for maximum performance, to amateur cyclists, looking for maximum comfort even for all durations of outings.
EVA Dimensions
The new Dimension EVA features the family's signature "V-shape" ESG/SRI, an ergonomic shape designed to promote a forward and aerodynamic riding position, ideal for maximizing thrust on the pedals.
Compared to the unisex Dimension 143 model, the EVA version has been completely redesigned to better adapt to the female anatomy, while maintaining a compact length of 245 mm.
The new women's design features a 156mm width to increase the support surface for the female pelvis. The anatomical center has been moved back 5 mm to facilitate the positioning of the ischial bones in the rear part of the saddle where the new padding, with lower density foams and an increased thickness of 8 mm, offers maximum support to increase comfort and stability.
The central PAS channel is 18% wider, with increased padding on the sides to better distribute and reduce pressure on the female genitals.
The 13% wider seat tip is also designed to increase comfort even in the most forward and aerodynamic pedaling positions.
The graphics of the Dimension EVA are characterized by fine lines that highlight the V shape of the saddle, with blue details that recall the EVA logo, giving a touch of style and reconbirthability to the entire Prologo women's line.
EVA Scratch
The new Scratch EVA is based on the T-shape of the Scratch M5, a unisex multidisciplinary saddle that has already distinguished itself at the highest level on route and off-road.
The anatomical shape of the new Scratch EVA has been redesigned to better adapt to the female body, with the anatomical center shifted 5 mm forward compared to the unisex model. This solution has increased the support surface of the female pelvis, making the saddle still very high performance, but even more comfortable.
The compact dimensions (245 mm x 140 mm), common to the unisex model, allow good freedom of movement to pedal with maximum efficiency in all positions, from the most relaxed to the most aggressive.
The padding is made of EVA foam of varying density according to the different areas of the saddle. At the rear, where the ischial bones rest, the padding is 5 mm thicker and is made of high-density foam to offer the best possible support.
In the middle and front, where the soft tissues rest, the padding is thinner and made of low-density foam to minimize pressure peaks in sensitive areas.
The difference in thickness and density creates a channel in the center of the saddle, 50% deeper than the unisex model, with a large, extremely soft contact surface. A targeted design choice to adapt and optimize the seat to the female anatomy, thus eliminating numbness and possible pain.
Finally, the saddle tip has been widened by 2 mm and tilted downwards to ensure a good support surface even in situations where it is necessary to pedal further forward, such as on steep climbs.
Under the central channel, the Scratch EVA features the Active Base System characteristic of Prologo: a base with a hole in the center, which provides even more relieftagand the pressure and thus increases pedaling comfort.
Rails
For the most performing cyclists looking for a rigid saddle and maximum lightness, the EVA models are available in a version with Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) rails composed of carbon fiber, Kevlar and aluminum filaments. Rails adopted by Prologo for all high-end models, which reduce the weight of the Dimension EVA to 183 g and the Scratch EVA to 178 g.
For those looking for greater comfort, there are versions with TiroX rails in light alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and strength, which gives the saddle less rigidity and greater absorption of vibrations. The weight of the models with Tirox rails is 277 g for the Dimension EVA and 226 g for the Scratch EVA.
