Scott announces its Addict RC, the bike of route the lightest ever created by the brand, whose goal has always been to shed grams. The latest iteration has been designed to help riders defy gravity. Scott's development team has worked hard on this bike. The result? A remarkable 300g reduction in frameset weight compared to its predecessor and without any compromise on racing performance.

Now, this new generation of Addict offers something completely unique on the market: a complete bike weighing less than 5,9 kg with race-ready geometry, capable of managing a World Tour sprint, leading a breakaway and winning all the KOMs in progress route.

Light expertise
Scott's commitment to building lightweight bikes is inseparable from its expertise in carbon technology. For the all-new Addict RC, Scott has taken the approach to building lightweight bikes route in carbon and "knocked" it over. Taking inspiration from my bike's approachtagne, Scott meticulously reevaluated casting techniques, looking for innovative ways to improve performance on routeThe result? A 300g reduction in the weight of the frameset compared to its predecessor., and without any compromise on racing performance.

A new method of carbon casting has made it possible to produce a completely hollow frame without any dead-end tube segments. This process is completely unique in the cycling industry and is only applicable if the frame design is custom-built for this manufacturing method.
Thanks to the smooth surface of the inflatable preform core, the inside of the frame is extremely clean and shows no signs of voids or wrinkles. Thanks to the precise inner shape, all excess resin is extracted from the frame during the molding process, leaving only what is actually needed for rigidity and strength.
Constant casting pressure across the entire frame surface ensures compactnesstage optimal draping and avoids any additional reinforcement while reducing the thickness to around 0,6 mm in certain areas.

Precision engineering
The innovative manufacturing process (Polypropylene Moulding Core) enables high-precision molding of interior surfaces and transition zones, combined with strength-optimized tube shapes that eliminate additional reinforcements and unnecessary filler materials. As a result, top-of-the-line tube profiles and surfaces are achieved, significantly reducing the overall weight of the frame without sacrificing strength or stiffness.
With improved carbon configuration, fewer carbon parts and joints, and incredible attention to small details like the seat stays and seat clamp, the development team has reduced weight without sacrificing stiffness.

Optimized geometry
The geometry of the new Addict RC has been completely reworked to align perfectly with the modern specifications for this bike, accommodating wider tires while improving overall handling consistency across all sizes. Whether you’re a professional rider or chasing local KOM/QOMs on the weekend, the new Addict RC promises increased agility and responsiveness, ensuring an unmatched riding experience.
The geometry has been optimized for the stock tire setup with a width of 30 mm. If you need something beefier, no problem. The frame has enough clearance for 34 mm tires.
The Addict RC's geometry provides significant maneuverability in tight corners and quick direction changes. And at the same time, the bike is stable enough to withstand sudden gusts of wind and to avoid feeling nervous at high speeds.

Comfort
The integration of advanced molding technology and a redesigned seatpost clamp system allows for thinner seat tube walls and reduced material usage in this key part of the frame. Paired with the new Syncros SP-R101-CF seatpost, Reduced seat tube thickness improves flexibility and promotes increased comfort on long rides. In addition, the all-new Addict RC, with its generous 34mm tire clearance, ensures improved comfort even on the most difficult terrain.

Pilot stationtage IC-R100-SL
The introduction of the new Addict RC paved the way for the development of an innovative new Syncros cockpit, the IC-R100-SL. The goal was to create an aerodynamic handlebar, achieved by incorporating a subtle flare at the bottom to blend seamlessly with the brake levers, resulting in increased wattage savings but also improved handling and easier brake control.
The new Syncros integrated cockpit has also been optimized to further reducetagand the material. Thanks to a new stem clamp design and an FEA-optimized carbon layup, it is now about 40g lighter for the same strength and stiffness. As standard on all bikes, Addict RC cockpits offer a wide variety of computer mounts and accessories. Even a new computer mount for cockpits has been developed. Its 3D-printed metal structure weighs only 12g, almost 70% lighter than standard CNC-machined computer mounts.

SP-R100-SL seat post
A symbiotic frameset system can only work with a matching seatpost. For the new ADDICT RC, two different options are offered to suit everyone's needs.
The new SL seatpost is 10% lighter than the previous model. With the new, more fiber-friendly seatpost clamp design, Scott has been able to optimize the seatpost configuration and further reducetagand weight while increasing flexibility and comfort. The new seat post Comfort increases the comfort of the bike by an additional 30% compared to the SL version.

Millimeter adjustments
Scott designed the new Addict RC to be effortlessly adjustable, setting a new standard for ease of installation. By streamlining bolt specifications and incorporating a universal tool, the brand has revolutionized the adjustment process. Located discreetly in the cockpit or handlebar, the T25 wrench allows riders to fine-tune stems, handlebars, seatposts, seat clamps and even bottle cages with unparalleled simplicity. This innovative solution not only improves the user experience, but also simplifies setup procedures for mechanics.

Product line
The Addict RC will be available in five different models, all benefiting from a complete HMX carbon construction (HMX-SL for the RC Ultimate) and the same advantagestagtechnological, whatever the level of specification chosen.

The Addict RC 2025 collection will be available at Scott retailers from December 2024.
