Founded in the 70s by Celestino Vercelli who, at the end of his career as a professional cyclist, decided to create Vittoria, the company has gained over the years the favor of elite athletes thanks to the quality of its cycling shoes, protagonists on the routes of the Tour de France and major cycling competitions.

Today, Selle Italia of Asolo, Italy is pleased to announce that Vittoria Cycling Shoes is joining its group. "The economic fabric of Italian cycling has developed thanks to companies that, starting from the intuition of their founder, have worked to develop continuous technological product and a stylistic imprint typical of Made in Italy – says Giuseppe Bigolin, President of the Selle Italia Group – and this story of values and hard work unites our companies: Vittoria is a brand that has carved out an important place for itself in the cycling shoe sector.”

Since its creation in 1976, Vittoria has reached the heights of international competition thanks to names that have written important pages of modern cycling, starting with Stephen Roche who, in 1987, signed a historic triptych: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and World Championship.

But it is in the name of Marco Pantani that the history of the two companies intertwines, since the Pirate won the great triumphs of the 90s wearing Vittoria shoes and pedaling on Selle Italia.

“We wanted not only to seize a market opportunity, but also to let ourselves be guided by the heart, because we believe that the development of new technologies in the wake of our Italian tradition can be the winning strategy in the near future, integrating it also with the scientific nature of the idmatch brand – highlights Riccardo Bigolin who represents the second generation at Selle Italia. We aim to meet the challenges of tomorrow's market, working on the synergy between our realities, where Made in Italy remains the key to success."

The shoe collections of the Vittoria brand range from cycling to route to triathlon, from mountain biking to the world of gravel, including a line dedicated to wine loverstage.

The year 2025 will be an important moment in the history of Vittoria Cycling Shoes as it will become part of the Selle Italia group which already owns Selle San Marco and idmatch.
