The Polar Vantage V3 and Grit X2 Pro move up a gear with software version 3.0!

Polar Electro, a global leader in sports technology and wearable solutions, announces a new set of features and enhancements for its flagship sports watches, the Polar Grit X2 Pro and Polar Vanguard.tage V3. Software version 3.0 introduces moretage customization options, improved navigation features, new capabilities and smarter functions.

Launched last year with the Polar Vantage V3, the functionality Cards gets a major update with the addition of points of interest (POIs). This improvement allows users to easily identify key points during their outdoor sessions, such as shelters, supermarkets, cafes, and more.

In addition to the advancements in navigation, outdoor enthusiasts can now embark on multi-day adventures without fear of battery failure thanks to the new feature refill during training. This allows the watch to be recharged while maintaining activity recording, a major advancement for ultra-runners. In just 20 minutes of charging, the battery life extends to an additional 10 hours in GPS mode with heart rate monitoring.

Version 3.0 also delivers a more comprehensive and convenient pre- and post-workout experience, with updates to pre-workout views and summaries. After outdoor workouts, users can relive their session and view their progress directly on their watch. Swimmers also benefit from detailed tracking with a stroke breakdown displayed immediately after a pool session.

Smart functions

Other updates aim to improve the daily use of the watch. The function Find my phone displays the phone's last synced location on the watch map and allows you to trigger an audible signal when the phone is within Bluetooth range.

With customizable watch faces and widgets, every user can tailor their Polar watch to their needs. Version 3.0 brings new customization options, including two additional analog watch faces and three additional digital watch faces.

Availability

Software version 3.0 is available today, January 8, 2025, for all Polar Grit X2 Pro and Polar Van users.tage V3 via the Polar Flow app. This update will also be available in Q2 2025 for Polar Vantage M3 and Polar Ignite 3*. (*Maps and POIs are not available on Polar Ignite 3.)
