World champion Tadej Pogačar and his UAE Team Emirates teammates will be riding a new bike that has been making a lot of noise this off-season. The Y1Rs takes advantage of UCI regulations on frame tube shapes and dimensions to adopt a very particular shape on the rear of the bike, with a seatpost that is no longer an extension of the tube that hugs the rear wheel. There is also a down tube that encompasses the bottle cage to limit aerodynamic losses, and above all, a very impressive Y-shaped cockpit. Colnago claims a gain of 20 watts at high speed compared to the bike previously used by the team. Shimano Dura-Ace groupset, Enve wheels, Continental tires and fizik saddles complete the equipment of this bike that we should see at the front of the pro races all season.
