On January 9, Australian Luke Plapp became the Australian Time Trial Champion riding a Giant Trinity disc, a highly anticipated bike presented this week by Giant. This new Trinity remains an aero reference and adopts an Advanced SL construction, which allows it to save more than 500 g on the frame kit. It also benefits from a new design that allows for more possibilities for adjusting the position of the saddle clamp, but especially the rider position.tage. In the opinion of many specialists, the old generation Trinity was a very aero bike: one of the best in its category according to the tests in the wind tunnel. For the Giant development team, the challenge was to maintain this aerodynamic quality by integrating a disc braking system. Contract fulfilled since the new model loses none of its legendary aerodynamics; the results of the tests even show a slight improvement allowing to save precious watts on all terrains.
A new Advanced SL construction
In this new version, the Trinity adopts an Advanced SL construction, allowing it to save 558 g compared to the previous generation which had the Advanced technology. The weight/stiffness ratio is significantly improved. The raw carbon fiber of professional quality is woven to produce Giant's lightest, stiffest and highest quality frames.
A more adjustable Trinity
The new version of the Trinity is more adjustable at the seat post with a setback range of 51 mm. The pilot stationtage is adjustable in height by a system of shims that can vary the height of the extensions by 80 mm, in extension over a range of 75 mm, and in angulation over 3 positions (0 °, 10 ° and 15 °). The distance between the elbow supports and the extensions is also adjustable. By combining all the possibilities, we obtain 24 times more possibilities for adjusting the pilot stationtagand than on the previous model.
While waiting for a range addition in the spring, Giant is presenting three products today:

“Since Liv Avow launched in 2016, the number of women participating in triathlons has continued to increase every year,” says Cassondra Spring, global brand manager, Liv. “In 2017, women made up just 30% of Ironman World Championship participants. By 2023, that number had jumped to 49%. This shift reinforces our commitment to creating high-performance products like Avow that are designed to empower women to perform at their best, whether they’re competing on the world stage as part of the Liv Racing Collective or Liv AlUla Jayco, or pursuing personal goals in triathlons and time trials around the world.”
