The juries were impressed by all aspects of the bike. They highlighted both the rigidity of the frame and its versatility. The 3D Tubular concept, a true Lapierre signature, " provides comfort without compromising performance " said the jury members. Beyond the dynamic qualities, the geometry and behavior of the bike, which offers superb control on fast descents and technical turns, were also highlighted. Finally, the jury members also appreciated the equipment and in particular the dynamism of the DT Swiss ERC 1400 wheels and their separated profile of 35 mm at the front and 45 mm at the rear.
The Xelius DRS is the first bike of route Lapierre to receive a Design & Innovation Award title in the bicycle category route.
Spicy CF Team, also in the spotlight
The new Spicy, launched in 2024, also receives the Design & Innovation Award in the Enduro MTB category. The jury emphasizes that the Spicy CF sets a new standard with its atypical design and its unique 2-in-1 MTB concept, which combines a MTB with High Pivot or Low Pivot suspension and a full 29'' or Mullet version.

This title for the Spicy CF Team honors all the Lapierre know-how in Enduro mountain biking, the inventiveness and creativity of the Lapierre engineers. Beyond the unique and innovative concept, the judges appreciated the orientation and its agility for Downhill but also its excellent propensities to be able to climb in Enduro. A real modern enduro bike, equally suitable for Bike Parks, downhill tracks or enduro courses.
Design&Innovation Award was created in 2017 and has as press partner the magazines of 41 Publishing in Germany (Gran Fondo, E-Mountain Bike magazine, Enduro Mountain Bike Magazine, DownTown). Since the creation of these Awards, Lapierre receives its 5th and 6th D&IA titles.
The first award for Lapierre was given to the OV AM 900+ (GLP I) in 2017, followed by the Prorace CF in 2018, then the OV GLP II in 2021 and the OV GLP III in 2024. This is also the first year that Lapierre has won two titles in two different categories. This rewards the boldness, innovation and know-how of the French brand.
