Cannondale Introduces All-New SuperX

Today, Cannondale announces the rebirth of its gravel bike, the SuperX. A completely redesigned and re-engineered platform for gravel racing and personal bests.

In 2024, the Cannondale SuperSix EVO SE made history when Lachlan Morton set the fastest time ever at Unbound Gravel. Now, the SuperX is taking it to the next level. Combining the EF Education team’s experience on route, and decades of expertise in the gravel field, The SuperX promises a whole new level of speed and performance.

This is a machine that combines aerodynamics with an ultra-light frame ready to take on the routes the most rugged.

The SuperX’s sophisticated carbon construction smooths out the unpredictable demands of gravel riding. Specially constructed flex zones in the seat tube, rear triangle and top tube work as a holistic system with the bike’s D-shaped seatpost to absorb shock and vibration, improving control and reducing fatigue.

Its race-proven geometry, its steering OutFront and the frame's finely tuned stiffness combine to deliver handling that is both stable and precise.

On the LAB71 SuperX, Cannondale engineers managed to fit all of this into a frame weighing less than 900 g (size 56) thanks to the use of an even more advanced composite of fibers and nano-resins, with exceptional properties of resistance to traction and compression.

The SuperX also features the design Delta Steerer from Cannondale. Paired with Cannondale’s Conceal stem or the System R-One one-piece cockpit – which the LAB71 SuperX is equipped with – the Delta steerer allows for completely concealed cable routing, while reducing the frontal area of ​​the head tube for improved aerodynamics, integration and ease of maintenance. It shows that it’s not just weight and speed that matter, but overall capability.

Depending on the routes, terrain and weather conditions, The SuperX can accommodate tires up to 51mm in the front and 48mm in the rear, with at least 4mm clearance on each side, ready to handle whatever the day throws at you.

Thanks to Cannondale's rider-centric design philosophy, Proportional Response, every rider can experience the full potential of the SuperX. Fully customized by size, with different tube profiles and precisely oriented layups of different carbon types and moduli, each frame offers an ideal balance of weight, stiffness and durability, optimized for each of the six sizes (46 to 61 cm).

The new SuperX range comes in three specification levels as standard, as well as a limited run of LAB71 complete bikes and framesets.
