BMC Switzerland has decided to voluntarily recall Kaius 01 bicycles and framesets. They have been informed of a few cases of broken fork steerer tubes.

As part of a further analysis of the problem, it was identified that the product adequately met the requirements of the standards of test industry standards, but that a small number of real-world gravel competitors have encountered problems in some difficult circumstances, which does not meet and exceed the standards that BMC imposes on its products.
BMC's priority is to provide reliable products that meet the highest expectations of professional athletes and all levels of cyclists. With this in mind, BMC has decided to replace the fork in question with a more robust version.
Please stop riding the affected models listed below. Visit your BMC dealer. They will identify if your fork needs to be replaced and will make the change, if necessary.
