What if the effort became a journey?

While the indoor leisure market, including fitness, bodybuilding and sports such as padel, is approaching 10 billion euros in France, home sports are experiencing a real boom (source). However, it often remains marked by a certain monotony. But thanks to the latest technological innovations, home training is reinventing itself: imagine climbing the legendary passes of the Alps, walking along the beaches of California or exploring the streets of a European capital, without leaving your living room.

More than just an exercise, sport becomes an immersive and motivating experience!

With this in mind, Kinomap and Fit Immersion have joined forces to transform indoor training into a unique adventure. By combining interactive videos and virtual reality, their collaboration opens up new perspectives, where each session becomes an open door to the world and a source of limitless motivation.

A strategic collaboration for immersive training

Fit Immersion, a specialist in virtual reality fitness solutions, has officially joined Kinomap, the world's largest interactive geolocalized video platform. This collaboration marks a decisive step in the evolution of home sports practices, combining immersive courses with advanced interactive features.

With this alliance, Fit Immersion enriches its technological offering and becomes compatible with more than 200 brands of connected machines. A compatibility that considerably extends its target audience and simplifies access to interactive sessions for a greater number of users.

« I was having trouble with the exercise bike training that was imposed on us at certain times, due to injuries and cuts. I thought that by coupling virtual reality to exercise, we could have a much more motivating experience by simulating an outdoor outing. ", explains Dimitri, founder of Fit Immersion, returning to the origin of his project.

Solutions adapted to all sports profiles

This collaboration focuses on accessibility to offer solutions adapted to different technical configurations and budgets. Three options are available to individuals:

  • The Fit Immersion app on Meta Quest: an ideal solution for owners of virtual reality headsets;
  • The Fit Immersion headset for mobile (Mobile 2): an economical version using a smartphone as a screen;
  • The Fit Immersion Pro 2 standalone headset: a turnkey solution requiring no additional equipment.

For users without connected bikes, Fit Immersion includes a cadence sensor in its kits, ensuring full interactivity with traditional equipment.

Immersive and personalized technology

The partnership allows Fit Immersion and Kinomap to combine their technological strengths for an ever more engaging training experience.

  • Immersive 360° routes: Users can explore around forty filmed routes in varied landscapes, with realistic sensations of relief and topography;
  • Exceptional image quality: Some courses are now available in 11K resolution, offering an extraordinary visual immersion. Less powerful smartphones can enjoy a 4K version, provided they have a gyroscope;
  • An impressive video library: with 45 training videos covering 000 countries, Kinomap offers a diverse choice to meet the expectations of beginners and experienced athletes alike;
  • Interactive synchronization: the resistance of the bike is automatically adjusted according to the gradient of the selected route, for a realistic and immersive experience. Kinomap also provides geolocalized content dedicated to running and rowing. Thus, the app also controls the inclination of the treadmill.

Fit Immersion: a 100% fun experience

Fit Immersion transforms indoor sports into a moment of escape. Thanks to its immersive 360° videos, the application allows you to move around the historic centers of the most beautiful cities, explore natural landscapes of striking beauty, or vary the destinations endlessly.

True to its mission of promoting pleasure through travel and effort, Fit Immersion is aimed at everyone: beginner athletes looking for motivation or experienced cyclists wishing to take on challenges in conditions close to reality.

With a virtual reality headset and a speed sensor (or connected equipment), users can travel varied routes from their stationary bike and enjoy total immersion, where each pedal stroke becomes a new adventure.

Fit Immersion is also a French success story. Founded in 2017 in Montpellier by Dimitri Prikhodko, the start-up marketed its application in 2020. Since then, it has attracted thousands of individuals and won over fitness professionals.

In 2021, Fit Immersion even traveled into space: its application was taken to the International Space Station by a French astronaut, with three iconic routes – Paris, Marseille and Saint Petersburg.
