Les Copains-Cyfac: an iconic classic

From July 1 to 5, 2025, The Cyfac Friends brings together experienced and amateur cyclists in Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme), in the heart of one of the largest regional natural parks in France. For its 37th edition, the competitors will inaugurate the 10 new courses including the 4 of La Classique, the flagship event of the first cyclosportive in Auvergne. As for the new features, one of the oldest classics in France confirms its continuation on a Saturday and moves its finish to the summit of the Col de Chougoirand, offering a finale as demanding as it is spectacular!

1 Classic – 4 courses

Among the four possible courses, ranging from 45 to 131 km, each runner chooses, over the kilometers, the route best suited to their ambitions. But beware of appearances: the elevation gain could surprise the participants! At 1 meters, the unprecedented finish at the Col de Chougoirand closes the race of the four courses for a beautiful finish.

This year, the courses have been completely redesigned with two timed sections that will delight the most competitive:

• The Chougoirand pass (1m) for the 210 routes.
• The Col des Supeyres (1m) for the longest route of 366 km.

« With its 3 meters of elevation gain, the 400km Classic has nothing to envy from Alpine events. It's a short but challenging course. Facing the Livradois-Forez mountains alone, everyone can measure up to the demanding and authentic nature. In short, this route is a crossroads of authenticity, challenge, and pleasure. » Mathieu Debarges, head of UC2A
