Trek Expands Project One Signature Paint Collection with three new colors EnvironOxide™ – Moondust, Desert Mauve, and Mojave Red. These are the latest Project One colors made using environmentally friendly paint pigments created from iron removed from polluted waterways.

The team Trek Project One created these new colors in partnership withwith Iron Oxide Recovery, Inc. a company that extracts and recovers excess iron from contaminated waterways to create a wide range of products – including paint pigments. This process not only helps clean waterways, but it also reinforces the need to extract raw iron oxide minerals traditionally used to create paint pigments.

On low impact paints These are a small victory for Trek's overall sustainability efforts, but they represent a larger shift in how the brand approaches the design and materials of all products to move toward a more sustainable future.

With these three new additions, customers now have four EnvironOxide colorways to choose from to create their custom Project One bike. Raw Lithos*, which launched in 2024 with the all-new SLR Checkmate, is inspired by the earth, desert terrain. The all-new Moondust evokes off-white lunar landscapes, while Desert Mauve plays with geological gray and purple hues, and Mojave Red embraces desert shades of red, orange, and brown.
The new colors are now available on all models of bikes from route High-end Trek through Project One. Riders can customize their dream bike at the Trek dealers worldwide.
