Scicon launches its Aerostorm glasses, a new model distinguished by its innovative design and technical features. These glasses are equipped with a toric lens designed to optimize visual comfort, protection, and aerodynamics. Their unique feature lies in their integral design, where the frame is fused to the lens, providing a seamless structure. With a stated weight of 30g, they are available for €150, or €200 with the Rx optical insert.

Founded in 1980 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, scicon initially established itself as a leading manufacturer of bicycle and cyclist luggage. Its carrier bags, popular from the outset with major cycling names, are still used today by leading teams such as UAE Team Emirates and Team Jayco Alula. In 2019, the brand expanded its offering with sports glasses, leading to the development of the Aerostorm. This model takes a modern approach, incorporating technological advances and careful ergonomics.
Toroidal-shaped screen
The Aerostorm aims to reinvent sports eyewear, particularly for cycling, with a focus on safety, aerodynamics, and lightweight performance. Their toric-shaped Space Vision Toric lens is made of molded polycarbonate and meets high standards, exceeding certain military standards, according to Scicon. This design, the result of a collaboration between the Scicon Sports Innovation Center, artificial intelligence, and designer David Michaud—with over 20 years of experience—stands out for its technicality and advanced aesthetics.
To adapt to a wide variety of faces, the glasses incorporate the 3D Face Fit program, combined with three sizes of nose stirrups (16 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm) made of TPE thermopolymer and flexible temples with TactiGrip coating, effective against sweat or humidity. The screen, ventilated by the VortexFlow system with five openings, is compatible with Slide Fit inserts for visual corrections ranging from +4 to -8 diopters, suitable for single or progressive lenses.
Nine colors
Rated category 3 with UV400 protection, the lens is available in nine finishes (smoky black, blue multi-mirror, light blue, purple multi-mirror, silver multi-mirror, gold multi-mirror, bronze multi-mirror, sun multi-mirror, and green multi-mirror) and benefits from an oleophobic and hydrophobic treatment to maintain its clarity in wet weather. The frame, made of nylon, contributes to the lightness of the whole. The price is set at €150 for the base model, €200 with the Rx insert, the latter also being sold separately for €80.
