Pirelli unveils the P ZERO Race RS, a tubed version of its premium road racing tire. routeThis new model is part of the P ZERO Race range, manufactured at the Milan-Bollate plant. Since June 2024, all tires produced at this site have incorporated FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified natural rubber, guaranteeing sustainable forest management.

The P ZERO Race RS is positioned as Pirelli's flagship tubeless tire, completing a range that already includes the P ZERO Race TLR RS (Tubeless Ready), the versatile P ZERO Race TLR and the P ZERO Race TubeType. This diversification allows Pirelli to meet the needs of cyclists who prefer the two most common technologies: tube and tubeless.
Designed for cyclists looking for performance, practicality and lightness, this tire was developed based on feedback from the World Tour teams Lidl-Trek and Alpecin-Deceuninck. These athletes have testHe produced it during training sessions and on Alpine stages of last season's Grand Tours.
Designed for use with Pirelli's ultra-lightweight SmarTUBE inner tube, the P ZERO Race RS reduces weight by approximately 50g per wheel, while maintaining rolling resistance comparable to the latest generation TLR tires, for a smooth and responsive ride.
An improved SmartEVO 2 compound
The P ZERO Race RS features the SmartEVO 2 compound, an evolution of the original SmartEVO compound. Developed in Pirelli's motorsport factories, this compound is based on "smart" polymers, chemically treated to optimize their properties. It thus offers enhanced grip and increased speed.
Available now in specialist shops and online, the P ZERO Race RS comes in sizes 26-622, 28-622 and 30-622, with sidewalls available in three colours: Black, Classic and Retro. In size 28-622, its weight is 230 g.
