Bytager the publication "fizik unveils a whole new range of headphones"
Fizik, Italian brand reconNaked for decades for its saddles and shoes for cyclists, expands its offer with a new range of helmets. This collection includes four models designed to meet the needs of different disciplines: route, gravel, triathlon and trail.
A varied range for all cyclists
The four helmets offered are the Kudo, the Kudo Aero, the Kunée and the Kassis. The Kudo and the Kudo Aero are aimed at cyclists on route, gravel and cross-country (XC), while the Kunée is designed for time trials (TT) and triathlon. The Kassis, meanwhile, is intended for off-road activities. Each model has been developed to combine performance, comfort and safety.
Aerodynamic optimization
Fizik engineers used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to design helmets that reduce air resistance. Emphasis was placed on curves and surfaces to improve airflow, a key factor for cyclists where the helmet forms a significant part of the frontal profile.
Comfort and Fit
The range offers sizes ranging from 52 to 61 cm, accompanied by a micro-adjustable internal adjustment system. This mechanism allows the helmet to be adapted to different body shapes, modifying the inclination and fit for personalized comfort.
enhanced security
All helmets meet international safety standards, such as CE EN 1078:2012 or CPSC 1203. The Kudo, Kudo Aero, and Kassis models include a rechargeable rear light (35 lumens), with a steady or flashing mode. They are also equipped with the MIPS Air Node system, which reduces rotational forces in the event of an impact, except for the Kunée. Each model has earned a 5-star rating in the Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings.
Presentation of the models
Kudo : Lightweight (from 270g) and ventilated, this helmet is suitable for long climbs, gravel riding and daily rides. Available in white, black and bronze, it is offered at 290 €.
Kudo Aero : Speed-oriented, it combines aerodynamics and ventilation thanks to strategic openings. Available in white, black and silver, it is also sold at 290 €.
Kunee : Designed for triathlon and TT, its teardrop design and side panels optimize aerodynamics. It includes a magnetic ventilated visor and weighs 350g (without visor). Available in white, it costs 380 €.
Cassis : Suitable for off-road use, it offers enhanced protection and an adjustable visor. Weighing 330g, it is available in white, dark navy and mud-sand, for 200 €.
Technical characteristics
The helmets are made with an in-mold EPS-PC structure for durability. They include a precise adjustment system and, for most, the MIPS Air Node. The integrated lighting (except on the Kunée) is rechargeable via USB-C, with a battery life of 90 minutes in continuous mode and 180 minutes in flashing mode.
An evolution for Fizik
Alex Locatelli, Senior Product Manager at Fizik, explains: “ Entering the helmet market is a natural step for us. We sought to combine functionality, aesthetics, and safety, while remaining true to our identity. » The brand highlights products that combine innovation and performance, as evidenced by their high rating by Virginia Tech.
