CADEX unveils its new AMP 3D saddle, a new saddle made with 3D printed gyroid structure padding and an ultralight carbon shell. Designed for cyclists seeking ultra performance, this very lightweight saddle offers optimal pressure distribution, improved support and a competition-proven design.

This is actually a saddle used by Ben O'Connor.

“The 3D AMP represents the next evolution in saddle technology”, said Jeff Schneider, global product manager at CADEX. “By integrating a high-resilience 3D gyroid structure with a carbon shell, we have created a saddle that adapts to the rider, minimizes weight and maximizes power transfer without compromising comfort.”.

G3D padding

Unlike traditional foam padding, G3D padding actively adapts to the rider's movements for targeted support. The 3D printed padding uses varying densities in key pressure zones for optimal support where it's needed, with a competitive weight of just 147g.

One-piece hull

Pedaling efficiency is improved thanks to a shell made of Advanced Forged Composite, which minimizes deformation. The rails are integrated into the base to eliminate traditional contact points, which helps relieve pressure and filters vibrations.

Comfort and performance

The combination of G3D padding and the single-piece hull also helps absorb vibrations from the route with high-frequency vibration damping. An ergonomic center cutout further reduces pressure on soft tissue areas, improving circulation for optimal comfort even on my longest rides.

CADEX technologies:

CADEX G3D – 3D printed gyroid fill padding allows for precise density matching across the entire saddle surface, optimizing support and comfort in key pressure areas while maintaining minimal weight.

Advanced Forged Composite – An advanced high-pressure molding process, used to produce complexly shaped carbon composite parts, creates a unique two-piece SMC carbon composite base, providing the perfect balance of support and comfort.

Integrated Rail Design – Relieves pressure points by positioning the rail and shell connections in an area that is not a contact point for the rider. The shape of the rails also helps dissipate vibrations from the route. Additionally, weight is minimized by eliminating the junction areas that are usually implemented for saddles.
