Aerodynamics at the service of performance
The Kask Nirvana helmet is a benchmark for cyclists on route and triathletes looking for optimal performance. Designed to combine cutting-edge aerodynamics and great ventilation, this high-end model, worn in particular by the professional Ineos Grenadiers team, proves to be very comfortable in use, even if its appearance is surprising at first glance.

The Kask Nirvana is a concentrate of innovations, designed to minimize air resistance while ensuring high thermal comfort.. Developed using CFD simulations (Computational Fluid Dynamics), this helmet boasts impressive performance: a 35% reduction in aerodynamic drag and a 19% increase in ventilation compared to the best aerodynamic helmets in its category, according to the brand. These figures, obtained thanks to tests in the wind tunnel, demonstrate Kask's expertise in optimizing air flows.

Main features:
- Weight : 272 g in size M, which places it among the lightest aerodynamic helmets on the market.
- Multipod System : 3D printed internal padding with isotropic behavior, which improves the management of linear and rotational impacts while promoting ventilation thanks to direct air circulation in contact with the head.
- OCTOFIT+ adjustment : This occipital retention system, featuring an over-injected rubber dial, offers precise micrometric adjustment for increased stability and comfort, even for cyclists with long hair.
- Ventilation : optimized internal ducts ensure efficient thermoregulation, particularly at the front and top of the skull, making the Nirvana exceptional for an aerodynamic helmet.
- Merino wool padding : positioned on the front and sides, this natural material improves comfort and perspiration absorption.
- Other features : a hypoallergenic faux leather strap, a sunglasses holder on the front, and a reflective insert on the back for better visibility.
- Safety : Nirvana integrates the Kask Rotational Impact WG11 protocol Test, exceeding international standards for optimal protection against rotational impacts.
- Available in two sizes only (M: 52-58 cm, L: 59-62 cm) and several colors (Matte White, Matte Black, Cherry, Ultraviolet), the Nirvana is sold at a price of €360, a price justified by its high-end positioning.

The Nirvana's design is also distinguished by its flowing lines and side panels covering the top of the ears., a feature designed to optimize airflow and enhance its aero efficiency. With these features, Kask promises a helmet capable of combining speed, breathability and safety, without compromise.

Kask Nirvana Review: A Helmet Built for Performance
After several weeks of use in varied conditions, the Kask Nirvana reveals its strengths and limitations. At 272g in size M, the Nirvana is remarkably light for an aerodynamic helmet. Once placed on the head, it is practically forgotten, even during long outingsThis lightness, combined with perfect balance, provides a rare feeling of freedom for such a technical helmet. It's so discreet that you almost have to check that it's in place.

The OCTOFIT+ system is a successThe rubber dial provides excellent grip, and the micrometric adjustment allows the helmet to be adjusted to the nearest millimeter. Whether for a quick adjustment before a ride or for an adjustment during route, this system guarantees great stability, even on routes accidents or during sprints. Cyclists with long hair will appreciate the redesigned vertical stabilizer, which prevents any discomfort. But above all, this height-adjustable system at the back of the head offers a truly personalized positioning, whatever the shape of the skull.
The Nirvana's ventilation is one of its strong points, but it is highly dependent on speed.. Beyond 30 km/h, the internal ducts channel the air impressively, maintaining a feeling of freshness at the front and at the top of the head. tests in real conditions confirm the 19% improvement announced by Kask. On the other hand, at low speeds, such as during slow climbs or in urban conditions, ventilation becomes more limited. The air circulates less efficiently, and you feel a slight sensation of heat, although this remains acceptable for an aerodynamic helmet.

The 3D printed Multipod padding is a real innovationThis isotropic material perfectly adapts to the shape of the head, distributing pressure points evenly. Comfort is enhanced by the merino wool inserts, which are soft against the skin and pleasant even after several hours. This 3D system also provides additional ventilation, with air circulating directly in contact with the scalp, which accentuates the feeling of freshness at high speeds.

Despite its qualities, the Nirvana shows a limit when it is hot. In summer conditions, with temperatures exceeding 25°C, perspiration tends to accumulate on the forehead. While the merino wool padding effectively absorbs moisture, it doesn't completely prevent sweat from dripping, especially during prolonged low-speed riding. This phenomenon, which is common with aerodynamic helmets, is less noticeable than with less ventilated competing models.
A look that causes debate
The Nirvana's design, surprising with its side sections covering the top of the ears, effectively streamlines the airflow and reduces turbulence, as observed during serious outings. When putting on the helmet for the first time, it takes some getting used to tucking the upper part of the ears inside the helmet, but you get used to it fairly quickly.
The sunglasses holder is practical and well-integrated, while the reflective insert on the back enhances safety in low-light conditions. The faux leather strap, true to Kask's aesthetic, is comfortable and durable, even after prolonged exposure to perspiration.

It's a shame, however, that the Nirvana is only available in two sizes. According to Kask, designing a smaller helmet (in S) couldn't meet the engineers' volume requirements for optimizing airflow. The M size, normally designed for head circumferences of 52 to 58 cm, proved too big for someone who normally wears a S. However, for a cyclist who wears M helmets, comfort and style are well-deserved.
An exceptional helmet
The Kask Nirvana is an exceptional helmet, tailored for cyclists and triathletes who prioritize performanceAt €360, the Nirvana is aimed at a demanding audience, ready to invest in high-end equipment. If you ride fast and are looking for a helmet that combines speed, comfort, and safety, the Kask Nirvana is a model to consider. For cyclists who ride mainly at low speeds or in very hot conditions, a more ventilated model might be preferable.
