The Franck Pineau 2025: a 28th edition full of new features

Join us on June 7, 2025, at the Stade Abbé Deschamps in Auxerre to celebrate the 28th edition of La Franck Pineau, a must-see event for cycling, hiking, and conviviality enthusiasts in Burgundy! Since its creation in 1997 by Serge Le Doussal and Jean Jarousse, in tribute to Franck Pineau's retirement from sport in 1994, this event has continued to grow, attracting 35 participants over the years. In 000, 2024 participants and 1 visitors joined the festive village, and 150 promises to be even more memorable!

A varied program for everyone

The Franck Pineau is for everyone: experienced cyclists, beginners, families, and even recumbent or electric bike enthusiasts.

On June 7, 2025, discover:

  • 9 cycle routes route suitable for all levels.
  • 2 mountain bike trails for thrill seekers.
  • 2 gravel courses, launched in 2022.
  • 3 hiking trails, including a hike in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne with a guided historical tour.
  • 1 trail course, new for 2024 for runners in search of freedom.

The event, now held at the Stade Abbé Deschamps since 2020 under the direction of Eddy Bevre, offers a village of entertainment and exhibitors for a festive and friendly experience. Each year, new trails allow visitors to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Yonne in complete safety.

The Cédric Pineau Gravel: 3rd edition on August 30, 2025

On August 30, 2025, head to Villeneuve-sur-Yonne for the 3rd edition of La Cédric Pineau Gravel, an event dedicated to lovers of gravel and outdoor activities.

You’ll find here:

  • 4 cycle routes route.
  • 2 gravel courses.
  • 1 mountain bike trails.
  • 2 walking trails.

This day highlights the charms of northern Yonne, with varied circuits for all levels.

New in 2025: the Franck Pineau Challenge

To encourage the new generation, 2025 also marked the launch of the Challenge La Franck Pineau, a series of competitive events for young cyclists (U15 and U17) from March to September.

This challenge aims to boost youth cycling and strengthen the attractiveness of Yonne.
