Orbea Terra Race: a gravel bike designed for competition

Orbea unveils the Terra Race, a gravel bike designed to deliver optimal performance on varied and demanding terrain. Developed in Mallabia, Bizkaia, this model combines an ultralight OMX carbon frame, race-optimized geometry, and refined aerodynamics, meeting the needs of competitors seeking speed and precision.

A light and rigid frame

The Terra Race is based on an OMX carbon frame, weighing 910g, 300g less than previous models. This frame uses high-modulus fibers, laser-cut and precisely arranged to maximize stiffness where it's needed while reducing unnecessary weight. The OMX fork, weighing 425g, completes the frame, providing stability and agility, ideal for fast and technical sections.

A design focused on speed

The Terra Race design incorporates several elements to minimize air resistance:

Fully internal wiring for clean aesthetics and improved aerodynamics.
Integrated OC SH-RA10 Aero Cockpit, optimized for rigidity and smoothness.
Hidden seat clamp, inspired by road bikes route Orbea.

The rear part of the frame is designed to absorb high-frequency vibrations, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground for efficient power transmission, even on uneven surfaces.

Geometry designed for competition

The Terra Race adopts a Gravel Racing Geometry, inspired by the bikes of route and suitable for gravel.

This geometry includes:

A lower stack and longer reach for an aerodynamic position.
An optimized bottom bracket height for high-speed stability.
Precise handling on rough terrain.

The size-adjusted frame stiffness ensures consistent responsiveness for all riders, whether they use a small or large frame. This design allows for immediate acceleration and precise control, whether exiting corners or climbing.

The Terra Race adapts to the runners' preferences thanks to:

Compatibility with single or double chainring transmissions.
Clearance for tires up to 45mm, allowing you to adjust grip and comfort.
UDH dropouts for easy replacement and wide drivetrain compatibility.
OQUO RP50LTD carbon wheels (50mm rim) for increased aerodynamics and stability.

The configurable cockpit offers options like flared bars, stem lengths, or a 15mm riser for better control. Orbea's MyO platform allows for customization of paint, components, and finishes to meet performance goals and aesthetic preferences.
