Tour 2025: a year of records on Strava

In 2024, the Tour de France riders have already made history with 1 segments Strava crowned with a new KOM (King of the Mountain). But in 2025, they pushed the boundaries even further, with an impressive total of 1 new KOMs set. An achievement that speaks to the intensity and competitiveness within the Strava community.

Tadej Pogačar, the uncon kingtestfrom the route

Tadej Pogačar didn't just shine on the podiums, he dominated Strava segments like no other. Of the 1 new KOMs this year, Pogi earned 809, or 362% of the total! This surpassed his 20 KOMs from the same period last year.

But that's not all: Pogačar is also the most popular runner in the community, with nearly 2 million Kudos worldwide. One ride in particular stood out, garnering 117 Kudos, making it the most celebrated activity of the summer.

The highlight of his exploits: he smashed the record of the legendary Mont Ventoux, improving the previous KOM by 5 minutes and 32 seconds. With a blistering time of 53:47 over the 20,74 km at an average gradient of 8,3%, he redefined the standards of this iconic pass.

In the wake of Pogačar

While Tadej Pogačar dominated one out of five KOMs, other riders did not disappoint:

Lenny Martinez stood out with 126 KOMs.
Bruno Armirail has achieved 80 KOMs, showing great consistency.

A rising star: Oscar Onley

2025 also revealed a promising talent: British rider Oscar Onley. With 72 KOMs to his name, he climbed to 5th place in the overall KOM rankings. He even came within 30 seconds of Pogačar's KOM on the formidable Hautacam segment, proving that he is a serious contender for the future.
