Qualifications open for the 2025 UCI Esports World Championships with MyWhoosh

The 2025 UCI Esports World Championships are approaching, and MyWhoosh has unveiled the qualifying schedule, in addition to the national selections. Cyclists from around the world, here's your chance to shine on the world stage!

In addition to selections by national federations, MyWhoosh offers open qualifications accessible to all eligible riders, ensuring fair and inclusive competition.

Qualifying Schedule

MyWhoosh is hosting four qualifying races in August 2025, open to all users verified by the platform. Here are the dates and times:

Time zones: CET (Central European Time), GST (Gulf Time, +2h/CET), CDT (US Central Time, -7h/CET), AEST (Australian Eastern Time, +8h/CET).

Format of qualifications

Each qualifier is a single 32,4 km race, with:

  • Two sprint segments and two hill segments (KOM/QOM), where points are awarded to the first riders.
  • A point format, a new feature compared to the previous time-based edition.

Riders can compete in one or more of the four events. The top finishers in each category (men and women) will advance to the semi-finals of the 2025 UCI Esports Cycling World Championships.

Conditions of participation

  • Verification: All participants must go through the MyWhoosh pre-verification process.
  • Eligibility: Runners who have participated in the Sunday Race Club at least once in the last six months are automatically verified.

Selection and next steps

Qualifying results will be published in September 2025, following validation of the national selections. MyWhoosh will award semifinal spots to the top riders not selected by their federations. Additional races may be held in September to offer a final chance to qualify.

Semi-finals and finals

  • Semi-finals (October 3, 2025): 150 men and 150 women will compete in a three-stage format, similar to the final.
  • Live Finals (November 15, 2025, Abu Dhabi): The top 20 riders per category will be invited to compete for the world title.

All semi-finalists must be affiliated with their national federation.
