An extreme and grandiose journey

The Embrunman combines three formidable events: a 3,8 km swim in the waters of Lake Serre-Ponçon, a 186 km cycle race, including the legendary climb of the Col de l'Izoard, and a 42,195 km marathon.

With over 5 meters of elevation gain, this course tests the physical and mental endurance of triathletes, while offering breathtaking panoramas.

A human and collective adventure

« The Embrunman is more than just a triathlon. It's a human adventure, a communion between athletes, volunteers, and a region. For 40 years, our greatest pride has been seeing women and men cross the finish line with stars in their eyes. » — Gérald Iacono, founder and race director.
