In the enchanting setting of Lake Geneva and the mountainstagThe Thonon Cycling Race, one of the most popular events in Chablais, returns on May 2 and 3, 2026, for a 6th edition focused on conviviality and accessibility. This event, organized by Chablais Léman Sport Organization, promises a festive weekend to kick off the cycling season in style.
Gravel: an unclassified adventure for everyone
On Saturday, May 2, gravel enthusiasts will be able to choose between two courses:
- Hike (56 km, 740 m D+): ideal for beginners, open from 16 years old, mountain bikes and e-bikes permitted.
- Ultra (95 km, 1000 m D+): for the more experienced, with a unique route along Lake Geneva.
No more signage or rankings: the 2026 edition focuses on free navigation and individual time to preserve the adventurous spirit of gravel. Participants will set off together from Thonon, crossing the Bois de Ville, the Lully marshes (with its iconic refreshment point), and the Chemins Blancs, before a peaceful finale by the lake. More accessible than ever, these courses are open to an even wider audience.
Route : varied and secure routes
On Sunday, May 3, cyclists on route will have the choice between four courses:
- Hike (55 km, 799 m D+, from 14 years old): perfect for discovery.
- Small (57 km, 1000 m D+, from 16 years old): includes the climb of Jambaz and the Col du Feu.
- Medium (87 km, 1600 m D+, from 16 years old): a balanced route via Draillant and Le Lyaud.
- Grand (109 km, 2390 m D+): a challenge with the Jambaz, Saxel, Ruppes, Moises and Feu passes.
New for 2026: timers will be neutralized between Le Lyaud and Thonon for greater safety. Electric bikes (touring mode) are permitted on the Petit and Moyen routes. The refreshment stations, generous with local specialties such as potato fritters, will guarantee a moment of partage for all.

With more than 3500 participants expected, the Thonon Cycling Race is a must-see event for cyclists of all levels.
