The new Cervélo R5 redefines the standards of the road bike route top of the range. With a featherweight of 5,97 kg (in SRAM Red or Shimano Dura-Ace, size 56), or 900 g under the UCI limit, this bike combines extreme lightness, optimal rigidity and exceptional power transfer. Already crowned in the 2025 Tour de France Femmes with Pauline Ferrand-Prévot with Team Visma-Lease a Bike, the R5 is ready to conquer the most demanding pelotons and climbs.
A concentrate of innovation
With a record weight of 651 g for the frame and 298 g for the fork (size 56), the new R5 complete bike is 705 g lighter than its predecessor, thanks to an optimized choice of each component. The one-piece cockpit, for example, is 150 g lighter than the previous one, while being more aerodynamic and backward compatible with the old R5, Caledonia-5 and Soloist. It will be available in aftermarket since 2025. The new Reserve 34|37 SL, also 100g lighter, offers an ideal balance between lightness and dynamism.
The geometry and rider positioning are identical to the Cervélo S5, to facilitate the transition between the two models, in order to meet the expectations of professional runners and enthusiasts.
Standard on the Red, Force and Dura-Ace versions, the Cervélo R5 is equipped witha ceramic bottom bracket for increased fluidity and durability.
Finally, the Cervélo adopts a SRAM UDH derailleur hanger. Lighter, it improves integration and compatibility.

The R5 excels in its rigidity, allowing instant acceleration and optimal power transfer, even for the most powerful riders. Testand approved by Team Visma-Lease a Bike, he shone on the routes of the Tour de France Femmes, confirming its place among the elite of the bikes of route.
