Evian Triathlon 2025: Record attendance and breathtaking performances

The Évian Triathlon ignited Haute-Savoie during its third edition, bringing together 3,154 participants, a record for the event. With the majestic Palais Lumière as its epicenter, legendary Chablais passes, and an electrifying atmosphere, this weekend was memorable. Here's why this edition will remain etched in our memories.

Record attendance and impeccable organization

With more than 400 volunteers involved, the event stood out for its meticulous organization. The proposed formats – Lé-Man Full Distance, Half Distance, Olympic and Sprint – attracted athletes of all levels, from beginners (35% of those registered for their first triathlon) to seasoned competitors. The ideal weather, a peaceful Lake Geneva and sublime landscapes between the lake and the mountaintagThey have enhanced the experience.

Exceptional performance on all formats

Lé-Man Full Distance: a monumental challenge
Under a spectacular sunrise, the start of the Lé-Man Full Distance set the tone. In the men's race, Belgian Joeri Ameye dominated in 10h01'25'', impressing with his consistency on a demanding bike course: " It was very hard, but splendid " he said. In the women's race, the Frenchwoman Alice Gorry, for her first participation in this format, shone in 12h25'46'', managing her effort brilliantly: " I knew that the marathon could be a path of suffering, so I kept my reservations. »

Lé-Man Half Distance: a strategic race
The Half Distance, acclaimed by 700 participants, offered an intense spectacle. Norman Pierre Gouault, a former professional cyclist, dominated the event in 4h33'58'', taking advantage of his ease on the bike to distance himself from his rivals. The atmosphere at the Évian nautical center was electric, fueled by a jubilant crowd.

Olympic and Sprint Formats: Speed ​​and Emotions
On Sunday, the Olympic and Sprint formats brought together 2,280 athletes. Alban Bofelli made a lasting impression by winning both the Half Distance relay and the Olympic individual (2h14:33). In the women's race, Elise Vanhamme won in 2h35:26 after a fierce battle. The Sprint, ideal for beginners, saw Vincent Steiger (Switzerland, 1h07:08) and Kathryn Griffin (United Kingdom, 1h19:46) triumph. Among the newcomers, Lise Nicoud, deputy sports officer of Évian, completed her first triathlon in 1h48:22, embodying the accessibility of the event.

Breathtaking routes

The courses, combining swimming in Lake Geneva, cycling through the Saxel, Ramaz, Corbier, Feu passes and even the Panorama de Champeillant, amazed the participants. This is the most beautiful triathlon I have ever done. ", confides Pauline, a Breton participant, seduced by the region and the event at the end of her season.

The Palais Lumière, the vibrant heart of the event

The Palais Lumière shone throughout the weekend, hosting the bib collection, the bike park, the exhibitors' village, and the finish area. In the midst of the European Heritage Days, this iconic setting reinforced the event's unique atmosphere.
