Paris-Tours 2025, one of the final classics of the season, takes place on Sunday, October 12. The peloton is expected to start from Chartres for the tenth time, covering a total distance of 211,6 km (vs. 213,8 km in 2024). Nine climbs, as well as nine vineyard paths, are spread over the last third of the race, the finale of which has been modified, bringing the finish line closer to the final difficulties. After Avenue de Grammont, which has hosted the finish since 1988, it is now on Boulevard Béranger, still a few steps from Tours town hall, that the final pedal strokes will be given. Frenchman Christophe Laporte, winner last year after a breakaway concluded in a sprint ahead of Czech Mathias Vacek and with a 21-second lead over the peloton, is at the start to try to double his crown. This is also the last professional race for Frenchman Arnaud Demare, winner of the event in 2021, before retiring. To follow the race, find the route map, the profile, the list of vineyard paths, the TV broadcast times and the runners entered in this 119th edition.

The Paris-Tours 2025 route
While the event has long been a prime target for pure sprinters, the introduction of vineyard paths to the course since the 2018 edition adds parameters to consider on the physical and tactical levels. A good burst of speed remains essential at the very end of the race, but the race's sense of purpose must be expressed on the hills and paths on the program, that is to say in the last 70 kilometers.
The first unpaved section begins 65,4 km from the finish, promising 800 meters of mud or dust depending on the weather conditions, immediately after crossing the Côte de Limeray. In total, over the 211,6 km, nine short climbs can be used as springboards, as can the 9,5 kilometers of vineyard paths spread over nine sections. The last of these is located before the Côte de Rochecorbon, where attacks can prove decisive. This sequence could weigh even more heavily in the scenario of the finale this year, as the finish has moved two kilometers closer to this last summit. Upon entering the city of Tours, the course is directly set for the town hall, which will now be approached via Boulevard Béranger, the finish being judged at the end of an 800-meter straight similar in every way to Avenue de Grammont.
