On the occasion of the presentation of the Men's and Women's Tours de France with Zwift 2026, the organizer also unveiled the two associated cyclosportive events. Le Bourg-d'Oisans > Alpe d'Huez first (July 19) and La Voulte-sur-Rhône > Mont Ventoux next (August 6).

Bringing together nearly 16,000 participants each year, the Étape du Tour promises to be epic in 2026, with a route between Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Alpe d'Huez, but not via the route the most direct. Indeed, participants will have to tackle a variation of the famous Marmotte, with the Croix-de-Fer, Télégraphe, and Galibier passes, before an ascent of the Sarennes pass before plunging back down to the village of Huez and the final climb to the resort. In total, 170 km and 5400 m of elevation gain are announced.

Since 2025, a second stage of the Tour has been organized, following the route of a stage of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift. On August 6, cyclosportives will be able to testbetween Vaison-la-Romaine and Mont Ventoux, over 120 km and 3000 m of elevation gain, culminating in the legendary climb of the giant of Provence via Bédoin (15,7 km at 8,8%) after having covered the last 70 kilometers of the route of the 7th stage of the Tour de France Femmes. A route that is nonetheless more accessible than the first stage of the Tour at Alpe d'Huez.
