Ironman 70.3 Marbella World Championship 2025: course maps, start times

On Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th, 2025, the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will stop in Spain, with Marbella as the host city. For the first time, the Costa del Sol will welcome the world's best triathletes to an exceptional course that is technical, spectacular, and full of contrasts.

The race will begin on Levante Beach in Puerto Banús, with a swim in the Mediterranean Sea in an idyllic setting, cheered on by the crowds lining the shore. The athletes will then tackle a demanding 90km cycling course, leaving the coast to climb into the Andalusian hinterland via the famous "Golden Mile," before ascending to the white village of Ojén. The hilly and scenic route winds through the landscapes of Mondaet Coín before returning to the Puerto Banús marina. The final part, the 21,1km half marathon, will take runners along Marbella's magnificent seafront promenade, to the iconic pier which, in clear weather, offers views of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast.

Between turquoise seas, hilltop villages, and a festive atmosphere, the 2025 edition promises to be one of the highlights of the IRONMAN season, bringing together the world's most seasoned athletes in a setting as demanding as it is magnificent. The ROKA swimming course in the Mediterranean Sea starts and finishes on the stunning Levante beach in Puerto Banús.

The Zoot cycling route, a single 90km (56-mile) loop, features a total elevation gain of 1,785m. The route quickly leaves Puerto Banús beach and follows the famous "Golden Mile," a palm-lined avenue that hugs the coastline. As soon as the route turns inland onto the A-355, you'll begin a magnificent climb to the village of Ojén, before reaching the highest point of the event. The route then descends into the hinterland, passing through the picturesque landscapes of Monda and Coín. At the turnaround point, you'll climb back up to the summit before descending to the beautiful Puerto Banús marina, where the bike park (T2) awaits.

The HOKA running course, a two-loop, 21,1km route, immediately takes you along Marbella's picturesque seafront promenade, which runs along the Mediterranean Sea. The course then continues inland, passing one of the area's iconic avenues, the "Golden Mile," before descending to the exclusive Puerto Banús marina. The spectacular out-and-back section on the pier is framed by the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the inner harbor on the other. On a clear day, you can even see Gibraltar and Morocco! After the two loops, head to the finish line by the water on the beach, surrounded by the crowds of spectators.
