Les Copains 2026: a 100% Puy-de-Dôme edition, more intense than ever!

From July 1st to 4th, 2026, the legendary Les Copains cyclosportive sets up shop exclusively in the Puy-de-Dôme for a 38th edition that is more compact, smoother and resolutely focused on the enjoyment of the riders.

After a 2025 vintage that shattered all records, the organization listened to the thousands of participants and refined the formula to offer the ultimate Auvergne experience.

What will change in 2026

The Classique is definitively set for Saturday.

  • Early start at 8am → less heat, more coolness on the hills
  • 100% Puy-de-Dôme: no more forays outside the department to refocus logistics and enhance the routes puydômoises
  • The ultra has been postponed to the first weekend of June 2026 (new event to be announced).
  • The itinerant Objectif Auvergne no reconlite

The 2026 program: 3 events for all tastes

1. The Itinerant Women – Auvergne in Several Bites

Two packages with full board available so you can travel light and enjoy yourself to the fullest.

Puy de Dôme Destination: Thursday 2 → Saturday 4 July | 346 km | 6,830 m elevation gain | €125

Forez Destination: Friday 3 → Saturday 4 July | 212 km | 3,970 m elevation gain | €85

2. The Charade Velodrome – The Timed Surprise

Thursday, July 2nd at 17pm on the legendary race track.
Registration is ONLY possible for this event (no need to do the rest of the weekend).
A big surprise will be revealed in December 2025… stay tuned!

3. The Classic – The big event on Saturday, July 4th

4 routes to choose from, with or without ranking, arrival at the summit of the Col de Chougoirand (except for the cool option below).

125 km – 107 km – 81 km – 63 km
Unbeatable early-bird rates:
€45 until December 31, 2025
€59 from February 1st to April 30th, 2026
€69 May 2026
€79 from June 1, 2026

New for 2026 → On the 63km route, those with lighter legs can ease off and return to Ambert after just 65km. The perfect escape to enjoy the ride without burning out!
