Everything is ready for the grand final of the 2025 UCI Esports World Championships! Organized by MyWhoosh in partnership with the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the competition will bring together 44 elite riders – 22 men and 22 women from 16 nations – on Saturday, November 15th at the Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. A live battle to win the legendary rainbow jersey.
These finalists secured their spots in a hard-fought semi-final on October 3rd, where 123 women and 134 men from over 25 countries competed. The defending champions, Jason Osborne (Germany) in the men's competition and Mary Kate McCarthy (New Zealand) in the women's, confirmed their dominance by qualifying among the top finishers.
Belgium boasts seven spots in the men's competition, while Sweden leads the women's with five qualifiers. Diversity is on full display: Gabriela Guerra (Brazil), Hao Zhang (China), and Kelsey Van Schoor (South Africa) will compete alongside talents from the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. A unique three-stage format: power, strategy, and endurance are on the menu.
The final will take place on an exclusive UCI virtual world designed for MyWhoosh, with a cumulative points system (all riders start from zero). Fairness is guaranteed thanks to the UCI-certified Elite Justo 2 home trainer. Three events. testwill be all profiles:
- Step 1: The Mountain's Verdicttagborn)
A grueling 8km climb with a maximum gradient of 20%. Points awarded every 5 seconds before the chase line (timer starts after 2 minutes). Immediate elimination if caught. For the most enduring climbers! - Stage 2: The Puncher's Playground
A hilly 12km circuit with climbs and descents. Points awarded at 2 sprints, 2 climbs and the finish. Explosiveness and tactics required. - Stage 3: The Sprinter's Paradise
8 laps of a flat 1,5 km circuit. Points per lap, doubled at the finish. Suspense guaranteed until the very end!
