Reserve unveils the SL wheels equipped with Tune hubs

Reserve Wheels has partnered with Tune to launch a limited-edition series of ultra-high-performance wheelsets, designed without compromise for lightness and speed. This exclusive collaboration combines Tune Pico hubs with Reserve SL Turbulent Aero rims, available in three depth configurations: 34|37, 42|49, and 57|64. The wheelset is built with straight-pull carbon spokes for maximum efficiency.

Designed with one goal in mind: to go faster

The Reserve SL rims retain all the qualities that have made the brand famous: advanced aerodynamics, exemplary stability, and predictable handling. Thanks to innovative manufacturing processes, they are 30g lighter per wheel, or 60g per pair, compared to standard rims. Combined with the lightest hubs in the Tune range, they create wheels designed for top-level competition.

Proven Turbulent Aero Technology

All three rim heights benefit from Turbulent Aero technology, validated both in the wind tunnel and on the road. routeThese wheels have already proven themselves in racing, with stage wins at the highest level of professional cycling.

Three profiles, three areas of expression:

  • 34|37 – Ultra-light for the montagne
Ideal for making a difference in decisive moments at altitude. This model was notably used by Jonas Vingegaard during his attack on the Bola del Mundo during the 2025 Vuelta a España.
  • 42|49 – Versatility and speed
A perfect balance between lightness and aerodynamics: light enough for the montagNot fast enough for sprints. Used by the Visma team for almost 90% of the season.
  • 57|64 – Ultimate Aerodynamics
The fastest profile in the range, the one with which Wout van Aert won spectacularly on the last stage of the 2025 Tour de France.

Tune Pico hubs: German precision and performance

Pico hubs are machined and assembled at the Tune factory in Buggingen, Germany. Developed specifically for Reserve SL rims, they are perfectly suited to the ERD and bolt pattern offset.

Thanks to their dedicated design, the carbon spokes remain perfectly aligned between the hub and the rim, without bending or twisting. The result: a stiffer, more stable wheel and exceptional power transfer, particularly noticeable during sprints and attacks. Reduced stress on the spoke nipples and optimized load distribution also ensure excellent durability.

The axles are hard anodized, and the freehub body offers 69 to 138 points of engagement, corresponding to a 5,2° or 2,6° angle. Machined from 7075-T6 alloy, the hubs boast a featherweight 275g per pair, including the freehub body and bushings. They...tagent certain internal components with the Tune Micro and Nano hubs.
